Re: Xbox 360 Impressions
Even with Pinata's younger style, I may have still enjoyed it, if it wasn't for the actual characters being Pinata's. It seems stupid, looks stupid and the colours hurt my eyes. This will flop I reckon.
FEAR 360 - disappointing that the 360 version will not look as good as the PC version running on maximum detail settings. I'd still buy it for the multiplayer probably.
Splinter Cell looks great but it's the same old game with fancy graphics. I can see it becoming another one of those series' where the single player ends up taking a backwards step for the multiplayer.
Still, I'll be buying this one too.
Crackdown - yuck.
Saints Row - another average rip-off perhaps. -

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Whoa, Candy, FF, hold up with the attacks. He was stating what he saw. You guys, myself included, stated what we saw with the Sony and Nintendo press conferences as well.
And while I don't know Admiral, but I'm pretty sure he's a big Nintendo guy.Comment

Re: Xbox 360 Impressions
Things that stuck out to me while viewing...
F.E.A.R.
The version of the game that we had the chance to play today didn't look quite as good as the PC version did at its best settings, but we've been told that the game will be using all of the textures from the PC version along with the highest settings when it's finally released.
Silicon Knights informed us that in the final version of Too Human, there would be no loading times. Every playthrough of identical areas could result in a new experience, as many of the player's reactions can affect how a stage's action plays out. Silicon Knights played through the beginning of Hall of Heroes twice to prove the point, and both times battle was initiated in different ways.
Of all the pre-E3 games we saw two weeks prior to the conference, Splinter Cell Double Agent was easily one of the most impressive games we saw. First of all, it was playable. We saw several different levels, and the game looks to deliver so many different ways to enjoy stealth and action. Graphically, it's a top notch, fully next-generation equipped adventure.
On his way to the aforementioned scenario, we watched as Fisher sneaks through multiple pathways from one end of a city to the other. Soldiers shoot each other, snipers pick off soldiers from building tops. A handful of civilians sprint across a dusty street corner as a runaway bus loses control, topples on its side and explodes, rolling down the street in a fiery ball and crushing them in the process. The scene was scripted, but the first time I saw it, my eyes widened and I was stricken by the scene. Fisher will use telephone lines as zip lines, he'll snipe landmines to kill off enemy guards, and use melee attacks in a totally different way than before. Furthermore, the game is taking on the next generation by removing the HUD and the long, previously worthless text blocks; we also witnessed a temporary health/ammo bar. Depending on which part of the game you're in, you'll either be entirely weapons free -- using nothing but your wits and resources -- or full weaponry and gadgetry, replete with guns, daggers, satellite feed intel, your favorite night-vision tri-goggles, and more.
To differentiate itself from GTA and the other open-world games out there, Saint's Row also promises "mass customization" and "immersion." You'll be able to create a gangsta in any likeness you want, as well as trick out your car with a variety of paint jobs and accessories. Volition wanted to create as immersive world as possible. You will, for instance, hear a commercial for T-and-A Taxi service. If you pull up your cell phone and dial T-and-A, you'll talk to the actual dispatcher who will send out a cab to your location. You could then pull up the map and choose a location and eventually pay the hefty fare. Or you could always shoot the cabbie in the face and steal the cab and drive there yourself. To each his own. (By the way, the number for T-and-A is, appropriately, 555-***-BOOB, no joke.)

I'm not trying to attack him, but it's like he is coming here attacking the games for the 360. I wasn't impressed with SONY, but I still like 4-5 games that I saw and I even stated that. He is telling us that some of the main games for the 360 were utter crap. I guess it's all of our opinions and I'm not looking to argue with anyone either.
I have tried to stay impartial on all of this system wars. I was the guy that was 50/50 on purchasing a PS3 until I saw the MS Press Conference last night. I have decided to stick with my 360, but I will still keep an eye on what the PS3 does because eventually I know I'll have one.
Will I prepay for a PS3? I think I'm going to just incase I do change my mind by the Fall and I don't want to get screwed if I decided to get one.Last edited by CaptainZombie; 05-10-2006, 10:36 AM.Comment

Well, talk to him about it on the other boards. Leave it out of here. I took nothing "bashing MS" out of his post. He was saying what he saw, I saw the same reactions on other sites as well.Comment

Re: Xbox 360 Impressions
I am not sure how i feel about Blue Dragon. I will need to see more. I am more impressed by Lost Something or other on the JRPG front.
Of course Mass Effect is going to be the RPG for the system.DON'T PANICComment
