Microsoft wins hands down with these games..Xbox live just helps put the icing on.

Sony especially lost it since the lowest there console will cost is 500 bucks, and the fact they lost GTA 4 ( well the 6 months cushion

How many of those games were actually playable for the public? I'm not being sarcastic, I honestly don't know. I do know that GOW was playable behind closed doors. Was GTA4 even shown at E3 this year?

5-10 minute waits on 360 games. 2 hours + on Wii games on the floor.

          Nintendo stole the show.
LOL..thats a bunch of propaganda. The reason there was a 2 hour wait on Wii games was because Nintendo forced you to get in line to see the games and only let a select number at a time in to see the games. If they had a set up like every other game company the wait would have been the same. Shoot, I didnt even have to play the Wii...I just wanted to see it but I would be damned if I was going to wait 2-3 hrs just to see it.

I'm pretty sure, with the showing Nintendo put on...people will be rushing out to buy a 200 dollar next-gen system.

              I know I will be.

Let me say one other thing. I didnt get a chance to see the Wii but I spoke to 4 developers who have seen it and they all said the same thing..."The Wii controller is great but Nintendo is basically selling people a slightly improved Gamecube with a new controller." That isnt a knock to the wii but its not really a "next gen" console.

All the graphics/videos I've seen look a lot better than gamecube, but maybe that's just me.

But then again...isn't that what Nintendo always does? Same games, same franchises, just improving the system slightly?

EDIT: Realized I didn't actually say my point, lol.

Point being...at least they're trying something relatively unheard of with the controller, and some of the games look to be very, very good.[Zelda/Super Smash Bro is almost enough alone for me to buy the system]

You can make a good case for either Nintendo or Microsoft. I thought Sony had a solid showing.

The PC isn't in this poll, but it had a STRONG showing at this years E3.

Microsoft's offerings were just amazing. Nintendo comes 2nd. Sony did a terrible job this year.

This basically sums up my feelings. I thought Nintendo was done (at least getting $$ from me), my my how things have changed.

Re: So...Who came out on top at E3?

It's very simple- Microsoft won E3, and they did it the moment that Sony's conference was over (or perhaps the moment it was revealed that Killzone wouldn't be at the show). The most important task that the 360 had to accomplish was to not be outclassed by the PS3 visuals. It did that. The 360 is the only machine out on the market for at least the next six months and its price now seems almost reasonable in comparison to its primary competition. Figure that the install base is going to climb quite a bit, particularly when Madden '07 gets released at the end of August. If Sony generated enough buzz coming out of E3, it probably would have slowed Microsoft's market penetration, but with Sony limping out of E3, the 360 is likely to going to sell strongly here and in Europe.

Nintendo did well for themselves, and undoubtedly they will get stellar reviews from gaming sites (which tend to be places where people who like to play Mario 64 get jobs). But Wii Tennis isn't going to move units and determine who makes major gains in the next-gen market; Madden is. Madden and Halo 3 and MGS 4 and the rest of the heavy-hitters are ultimately the games that will sell units. The Wii will win converts, but at the end of the day Nintendo was never really part of the equation, and E3 did nothing to change that.

Sometimes it takes more than horse power for something to be "next gen." What Nintendo is doing with their controller could be considered more next gen than anything Sony and Microsoft have done and could actually change how we play games from here on out. It could also be a complete disaster, who knows?

Madden is on the Wii, and early indications from hands-on reports are very positive. And don't underestimate the selling power of the Zelda franchise. Ocarina of Time basically allowed the N64 to compete with the original Playstation.
