Does Gamecube use component?
I am looking to get a gamecube, but wondering if it has a component output. I had a gamecube a year or so ago, but only used the standard AV cables that came with it. It looked horrid on my HDTV, so i took it back after a few days. yes, there is a Gamecube component cable. Sometimes they are hard to find, I bought mine from Nintendo's official store. It will let you play games in progressive scan mode.

Only the first run Gamecube's have the component out slot too, so inspect the Cube before you buy it.Comment

To display 480p, hold Start+B when turning on the game. You'll be prompted for progressive scan. Makes a marked improvement!
