EG, you can see & hear a difference with the Monster 360 cables.. It has nothing with "Your eyes/ears playing tricks" I have the Monster 360 Component Cables & noticed a difference in both Audio & Video when I changed cables..

Enough a change, that I'm very happy I made the switch...

As I've said to anyone who's told me that, if it works for you, that's all that matters.

Enough a change, that I'm very happy I made the switch... BTW Candy I hoope you realize those Cables do-not come with an optical option & you will have to purchase the Optical Cable seperately in order to get DIGITAL Surround Sound from a reciever if you use 1.

Joe, thanks I saw that when looking at both option.

I game at night right now due to not being able to during the day since I have little kids so turning on my stereo at 10:00- 11:00 while everyone is sleeping wouldn't be a wise choice on my part. I'll be trying to put kids back to bed instead of playing with the limited time I have to play.

I already have a monster optical cable that I used on my XBOX that I think I should be able to use with this, if not I can spring for the updated one later.

No problem. Those guys over at HDTVArcade are big video/audiophiles. I've been going there for years reading more posts than posting as we can see by my post total over there. There are a few guys that saw a difference between the 2 cables, so I guess it might also depend on the kind of TV that you have.

You'll see a difference for long cable runs vs a short run as the signal gets degraded as the cable length grows. So a better shielded cable works well for that application. Also there are many factors that come into play like interference from other cables, badly grounded electrical sources, and other devices closeby that could distort a picture (not to mention other symptoms).

But better picture quality for a 10 foot cord with an OEM Microsoft component cable vs a Monster cable will not gain anything. Your money though.

I just got the 360 + the PS2 Monster Component Cables in the mail today. I'll report back later.

I only paid $20 for the 360 ones after using a gift cert on Amazon + $35 for the PS2 ones off of ebay. If I went to the store, I would have paid over $100+ for both not including tax.

I just hooked up the cables, played a few games + navigated through the dashboard.

I noticed right away that the dashboard look cleaner (text), much more vibrant colors, and the picture was overall much sharper. Finally, those hints of distortion disappeared that I was receiving with the old cables.

No, I'm not making these things up in my head to justify the purchase since I only paid $20 for these cables. These cables are still on sale at Amazon if you click the link that I originally provided. I would pick these up in a heartbeat.

I'll do some more testing on a few other games tomorrow night, but so far I give these cables an A+.

There is a difference when using it. i had it connected to two different inputs and went back and forth checking differences. Brigher colors, sharper image, can see words clearer. So yeah its worth it for me.
