Originally posted by USF11Well here is a question for ya, at what temp do you think its running too hot. I remember when the fan broke on my computer I couldnt turn it on for more then 2 minutes b4 it auto shut down on me.
I think part of the issue is that we're all in different environments and have different setups. My 360 has never been very warm or blowing very warm air. So the intercooler wouldn't provide much for me.
As a point of reference, my cable box with HD-DVR has an internal temp listing. The cable box is never turned off. I used to have my DVD player on top of my cable box and one day when dusting, noticed my cable box was VERY hot. I checked the internal temp. It was at 142 degrees and wasn't listed as "Over Temp". Otherwise it would've shutdown. Right now it's at 111 degrees and fine.
So I guess my cablebox/HD-DVR can get MUCH warmer than the 360 without any problems. Or my guess that 115 degrees being bad for the 360 is a little low.Comment

Originally posted by USF11I have a launch 360 no problems yet. I ordered the intercooler but its not here yet. The exhaust from my 360 is 101 degree's no freezes but I'm definately curious to what other's exhaust temps are at. The manual says peak normal temp is 95. I know im pushing the limits.
I have my 360 in the basement where average temps are 70-80.Comment

I have an intercooler attached to my 360 only it is in the form of my more than frigid basement. Seriously it was 80 degrees today and I needed a hoodie to play down there.Comment

It's been 90 around here on certain days, humid and the AC's been off while I'm at work and it's never froze. I have a launch 360 as well. No problems with freezing except on MLB2K6 a few times and that was of course 2K's fault.Comment

I'm not even a big CFL fan (and not even from Toronto, here for the summer) but man this is looking like a great time to be in Toronto in terms of sports (Jays, Argos)Comment
