No, there's a cache cleaning technique, it's been in a couple threads. Xbox Live Marketplace and the dashboard update thread. It'll delete the game updates, but not game saves. So when you logged on and say NBA2K6 said it had an update, that would be removed.

I haven't done it, but others said yes. But once you go back to Xbox Live it'll redownload it again.

Thanks for the info EG, I wasn't aware it deleted game updates. I'll use it with caution if there is a next time.

One thing it did not do was erase my XBL update.

Yep, 1-800-4MY-XBOX. Pick Xbox Live and they should know what you're talking about (well most of the customer service reps anyways!).
