This game is such a blatant GTA ripoff that to me it just feels like playing the next gen version of the series. I love it!!!

Like it says in the IGN review it's obvious they have copied GTA but they have also refined and improved it so it's a great game in it's own right.

Been playing the game alot today, and I'm hooked more now than ever. I finally broke the $100,000 mark thanks to the demolition derby. The Vice Kings are almost done with, and life is good in Saints Row. Still just scratching the surface of the game, I'm at 80% done.

played a lot today too...Los Carnales are done with (if you say "The Los Carnales" i'll beat you down )...the Vice Kings are next on my list to decimate....great game

What the hell are you guys doing for cash? I think the most i've had is 6K.

Same here, i never get that kind of cash.

Is there a way to wait in this game? I wanted to go to the gunshop and it was closed and didn't want to go through the whole robbery thing.

If you do rob a store like the gunshop do you get guns when you take the box to the pawnstore or do you just get cash?

The way I got so much cash is just playing the demolition derby. Before the derby, I had around $24,000 from other missions, snatches, etc. But in the derby, once you reach the 8th level, you get $5,000 per win. Doesn't take many wins to accumulate the money that way.

I didn't like the demo that much. It felt OK, but it had no "soul" compared to GTA. I still like GTA better, but I picked SR up anyway and I can't put it down. I just can't stop playing - I'm addicted. There's so much to do and it looks so good. It seems strange, but it's more "satisfying" to shoot with the aiming reticle than using auto targeting with GTA. Just something you have to get a hang of. So far I'm having a ton of fun.

You know one of the things that annoy the hell out of me? It when there's a gang fight going on where you're trying to re-take a territory (i'm doing the vice king missions) and it's just you and your homie roll up to the set, the enemy comes out of no where by the busloads yet, it's just you and a couple of your fellow gang members on foot. Do the saints not have cars?

When you take over a territory it will tell you that it brings in a certain amount of cash per day. You just have to get it out of your safe every few days. It's like free money.

doesn't it just add up in your safe? or do i have to pull it out every few days? i've got about 30k on me right now, but i bet there's a decent amount in my safe house

Nope... it doesn't accumulate. You have to pick it up everyday :y4: You've just lost out on quite a bit of money

Has anyone else had an armored truck disappear on them? I found an armored truck (the downtown area in the AM seems to be a good time to find armored trucks) and took it back to the construction site near my crib to destroy it with the bulldozer, and when I turned the dozer around to make another run at the truck the truck was gone. That sucked. Anyways, I highly recommend finding armored trucks for cash. I think I've gotten 5-6K a couple of times.
