Traded Oblivion today and got Saints Row out of boredom even though I hated the demo

...but to my surprise it's actually a cool game! The frame rate is certainly better than the demo and the city is pretty cool when it's not closed off. Very similar to GTA 3, with the whole industrial feel.

Is the game fun online?

Anyone have any tips for completing the hitman missions? Its similar to the chop shop missions in that they only tell you the general area and then you get to cruise around until you find the person but since its a person and not a car it is much tougher. Any tips would be appreciated.

When you're at the screen where you select who you want to take down, it has an area on the map where they probably are. Also, on your minimap, a crosshair will appear wherever that person is, like the chop shop missions where a yellow car appears on the map.

And they are randomly spawned like cars, so chances are you'll see like 5 of them within minutes of eachother.

Yeah thats kinda what I figured, locating some of these people when all it says is downtown is aggravating to say the least but normally I will just move on to something else and come back later.

yeah, if it's like chop shop it's really hit or miss...i can find some cars very easily, and right now I'm on one that's giving me fits...I want to complete that chop shop list too, my last car on it, so i'll be driving around again tonight lol

Couple of questions for the Saints Row vets:

1 - Is there a place to get ammo for your guns, or do you have to "re-buy" the guns for more?

2 - After taking over an area, it generates money for you. Can I pick that money up at any of my cribs, or do I have to go back to that specific area to get the cash?

So much to do in this game, I haven't tried to find those answers, myself.

You can re-buy ammo greene, or you can pick up enemies and cops guns when you kill them


BTW, sowhat you guys are telling me is, when you get an armored truck to blow it up for the cash?

If that is the case I'll take it to the gas station and shoot to blow up the pumps to open it.

You have to pick up your money each day at your crib.

Where can you buy ammo? I haven't found that place, I know you can rebuy the gun and get ammo.

I've blown up 2 amored trucks, One in the middle of the road, that was fun picking up money all over the place.

I blew it up by ramming into ****, and then blasting it with my uzi.

:y4: I use a rocket launcher on mine... it works really well. I'm having an absolute blast with this game still... So much to do, and I really haven't even gotten into any of the smaller side missions yet either. Good stuff...

I didn't play the demo. Don't get me wrong, if you enjoyed the GTA series, I think you'll love this game. This isn't a bad game by any means, it's just poor judgment on my part. I shouldn't have bought a GTA clone when I never enjoyed the GTA series.
