I wouldn't say it's bad, but that number could've been quite a bit bigger, if it weren't for the problems in production.

Everyone of those 2.8 million helps...its 2.8 million more than Sony has sold PS3..

Ofcourse they havent tried to sell any, but thats the point..they have the lead.

Now if they have Halo 3 come out in 07 ( which it will) and you drop the 360's price by atleast 50 dollars, throw in 3 months free on xbox live....That could be huge.

I am going to go different on this, I think there is going to be a price drop soon unless May sales where an anomoly. April sales is what they need to average to make that 10 million worldwide installed base by the PS3 launch, they won't make it on May averages. Summer is typically slow too, so I think MS will make a drop in the next couple months to spike sales, just like they did with the first Xbox.

There is only something like 3.6 million worldwide as of June 1st. Unless they drop the price, no way they make 10 million by the end of the year, much less by the launch of the PS3.

Yeah, I agree with you there. It's all relative to how the system sells rather than the release of the PS3. I'm still very surprised by what the PS3 asking price is.
