I read the wikipedia page about the game, and now it seems like an iffy purchase. No wonder the developers are reluctant to confirm some things.

I just read the page, I didn't see anything in there that would keep me from purchasing the game. What did you read on that page that changed your mind?

The only thing I could see him complaining about is the sci fi stuff but it's not that they've been reluctant to talk about it, they don't want to ruin the story. They've talked about the sci fi stuff but they just haven't gone into detail.

Maybe I am a nerd, but I think the sci-fi element ads a unique twist that intrigues me even more.

I won't buy this because it's solo player only. I don't know the last game I owned that I couldn't take online. I might rent it and try to beat it over that time, maybe...

I'm the opposite. If a game had a single player experience that is 10 hours or so, I won't buy it. I don't like to rely on online play to add value to a game. To me it's a bonus if a game has good online play. Rainbow 6 was the only game that was worth having for online, only because people played it for a LONG time.

I feel the same way but I can't afford to buy so many games anyway so I'm always renting, I also don't have a full xbox live subscription, I just buy the prepaid cards from time to time so any game with online is just gravy.

Yeah i don't see anything wrong with it.

Same here, but a lot of people seem to bring that up as negative about the game. Personally, I want to see how the Sci Fi element fits in.
