    Re: Assassin's Creed

The other reviews coming at 12:00 PST are going to be interesting. I know 1UP said there is a clear split in the office for those that like it and those that don't. Some early impressions I have been reading like this don't make the game sound very fun, but then Blimblim's comments give me hope.

Every game like this gets repetitive.

That's why I put down Crackdown before finishing it. Someday I'll get back to it because I'm interested in finishing the title.

I'm not surprised that someone would say Assassin's Creed would get repetitive. Heck, NBA 2k8 has gotten pretty repetitive to me too. Every time I turn the game on I'm playing another game of basketball against a team of 5 players on the court.

It's how you go about making that experience fun. And like Blim says, if you go around and explore the city then it'll make the game less repetitive.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Every Video game imo gets repetitive. To me, is can you still enjoy it all the way to the end.

This is going to be my last purchase this year though. I will wait on the other games for the price to drop. I spent to much money on games already. lol

yea, i can see where it might get repetitive. but with everything basically climbable and what not. exploring the cities should allow this game to be worth the price

So what is the release date for this game?

Tuesday or Wednesday? I've heard both.

Tomorrow. Best Buy had Weds in their ad, but Gamestop told me tomorrow. I even got the call from Aris or whatever her name is.
