Any recent X-BOX 360 buyers experiencing dying systems?
I am planning on buying a 360 in the near future and would like to know if people buying the system recently have had any major problems with it dying like the launch systems had? I would hope the problems are diminishing as I am afraid of it crapping out on me. Thank You."If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockTags: None -

2. Keep it in a well ventilated area.
3. Always purchase the extended warranty. -

Re: Any recent X-BOX 360 buyers experiencing dying systems?
I bought mine a week ago and it has run perfect. I have it on my desk since I play on my monitor so its pretty well ventilated but it can still get warm in the back sometimes, but when I first got it it was probably on for 24 hours staright and it still works good.
I would get the intercooler if it's going to be in an entertainment system cabinet or something that keeps it covered.Comment

Re: Any recent X-BOX 360 buyers experiencing dying systems?
NOOOOOOO!!! Mine just got the red lights of death. I have never had a console that peter'd out this fast. I got mine in early May. It wasnt a launch system, but one of the ones that rolled out after the long drought. At first my online games would just get stuck. Id turn it off/on play again for a few minutes then it would do it again, I thought it was the servers. I then put in PD0 to play offline, and it stuck again. Turned it off, when I turned it back on, the red lights of death. OK, what do I do now? Who do I call? I didnt get the extended warranty at Best Buy because Ive heard several horror stories about their customer service. Any help would be appreciated, and Im off for the next 3 days....waaaaa...waaaa...waaaaaaaaaaaa.Comment

Re: Any recent X-BOX 360 buyers experiencing dying systems?
Ive downloaded the GRAW and COD2 maps, so what happens to them. Are they gonzo? What is Msofts support #. My 360 was gently used, I play about an hour every 2 days, got 2 kids, so my time is limited. Damn this sucks, what about my gamertag? If I get another 360 can I keep my tag?Last edited by Laettner32; 07-01-2006, 10:22 PM.Comment
