Re: Any recent X-BOX 360 buyers experiencing dying systems?
this is probably late, but just keep the thing well ventilated and buy an intercooler for added insurance. some people around the world u gotta remember are just ignorant and careless with their systems. thats allOriginally posted by StormyhogI am planning on buying a 360 in the near future and would like to know if people buying the system recently have had any major problems with it dying like the launch systems had? I would hope the problems are diminishing as I am afraid of it crapping out on me. Thank You."We're winners baby! ****in' winners! pushin it to the max, cuz thats how we roll!!!" ~ BrucieComment

Re: Any recent X-BOX 360 buyers experiencing dying systems?
Had mine since early May and not one problem aside from Oblivion freezing once.
I try not to play it for hours and hours on end but other then that I just be sure to keep it in a cooler area and not knock it over.Comment

Re: Any recent X-BOX 360 buyers experiencing dying systems?
i have one that is probably two months after launch. The only problems i've had was nba 2k6 freezing sometimes, but i think its the game more than the 360 itself. I do have the intercooler so that is a MUST buy for 20 bucks...worth every penny and to think about it i haven't had 2k6 freeze since i've purchased it. The 360 gets about 4 hours a day of playing from different people in the house and different games are always playing.Comment

Re: Any recent X-BOX 360 buyers experiencing dying systems?
Simple fix. Call up Microsoft and buy the extended warranty. Wait a few weeks and then call into their tech support. Any repairs will be covered by the warranty. I just had the same issue myself with my launch console, and it's currently getting fixed. Should be back in a few days.Originally posted by Laettner32NOOOOOOO!!! Mine just got the red lights of death. I have never had a console that peter'd out this fast. I got mine in early May. It wasnt a launch system, but one of the ones that rolled out after the long drought. At first my online games would just get stuck. Id turn it off/on play again for a few minutes then it would do it again, I thought it was the servers. I then put in PD0 to play offline, and it stuck again. Turned it off, when I turned it back on, the red lights of death. OK, what do I do now? Who do I call? I didnt get the extended warranty at Best Buy because Ive heard several horror stories about their customer service. Any help would be appreciated, and Im off for the next 3 days....waaaaa...waaaa...waaaaaaaaaaaa.Comment

Re: Any recent X-BOX 360 buyers experiencing dying systems?
Just today, my new 360 keeps telling me to insert a 360 game disc whenever I put in a 360 game? I try a couple of times, then it takes. Anyone else have this?Comment

Re: Any recent X-BOX 360 buyers experiencing dying systems?
Yes but it's available only in certain States. It's not offered in Florida so I had to buy an extended warranty from the store. Most items you can return right to a Best Buy Store for an exchange including a 360. I don't know why they had you ship the item.Originally posted by nastyshoes69so after u get the 360,u can call up microsoft and get a warrenty threw them??

Re: Any recent X-BOX 360 buyers experiencing dying systems?
If you got your 360 in late May that means it's still under the 90 day limited warranty.
But it seems like you bought a new 360?Xbox 360 GamertagRAW 910
