MGS4's placement in the Holiday is to increase the user base.

Also, for those still expecting Metal Gear Solid 4 to be ported to the 360..let's refresh our memory about Hideo Kojima's comments about MGS4's size in relation to blu-ray capacity (of the time):

So, even if it is ported over, say hello to a multi-disc game (which annoyed everyone who owned a GC, PSX, Saturn, etc., but not in this case, oddly enough) or some big sacrifices to compress it to one DVD.

If MGS4 is to be released this holiday season as a system-seller, it sure picked a bad year with Halo 3 due as well. I think it's the other way around. Konami has a near-complete game and they are waiting until there are enough units sold to make it feasible for them. Inevitably, the higher ups may decide that the wait is not worth it and to port it to the 360.

He also said earlier that the game wasn't possible on the 360 then backtracked and said that it was. This disc space thing is overblown.

I agree, Sony has a few really good titles for the fortunate chaps with disposable income, but none of those are 700 dollar system sellers for an average Joe like meself, especially when the dang thing doesn't even do HD on my TV (yet?).

I'm going to miss not being able to play God o War, but most of those titles have equal or in some cases superior exclusive 1st and 3rd party replacements on the 360 (Ninja Gaiden 2/GOW, Forza/ Gran Turismo, Halo/Killzone, GOW/Resistance, Crackdown/Getaway, Hevanly Sword/Too Human...etc.), not to mention Space Oblivion, Fable 2, C&C, Alan wake...the list goes on. There just isn't 700 dollars worth of "over and above the comp" gaming to be found on the PS3 yet, and it seems that Sony can't afford that. With the slow HW sales, I'd say they need to keep as many reasons as possible to entice people to comfortably spend that kind of money, and they are bleeding those reasons. [/broken record]

Hey Capcom you TRAITER. next time im in eb your games are going to the BACK of the shelves..screw your fanbase and you get screwed. the xbox sucked balls and so does the 360 and you sell out to that POS system? whats sad is that the ps3 will end up DOMINATING the 360 in sales maybe not 100 to 1 like the original ps2 and xbox, but it will still own in worldwide and you think we will buy your games then?!?! Just sour grapes on their part, that now the shoe is on the other foot. Also what they fail to realize is that it hurts them even more in the future when Capcom decides that it's not worth the investment to make games for the PS3.

If the PS3 had the same install base that the 360 now has it would be a moot point wrt: DMC4, Ace Combat 6, FFXIII, Tekken 6 etc.

They need to take out their anger on Sony for giving away their marketshare not Capcom.

Saying the xbox and 360 are bad systems....wow!!! I guess thats why they've sold over 10 million in 11 months of its launch! That shows how much it sucks. Not to mention XBL vs PSN...need I say more....

Seriously. The 360 really seems to be replicating what went on with the ps2, even down to the broken systems but I'm sure they didn't mind when it was Sony getting all the games.

I played the demo and it was a mediocre game at best. Most reviews back that up.

It's called grasping. Not much left for Sony fanboys to get excited about.The problem is that the first Killzone was overhyped too and ended being just decent.

Personally, I don't know what I'm rooting for anymore. On one hand, if Sony continues to flounder, the price drop on the PS3 will happen sooner than later and I'll be able to afford one. May be too late at that point.

On the other hand, this industry needs Sony to be successful and I would like to see them do well, which won't lead to a price drop anytime soon and therefore, no PS3 for me.

I played the demo and it was a mediocre game at best. Most reviews back that up.

Most people said that the game was garbage, really the only reason there was any hype was because Sony lied about the cgi videos. I don't know how many people would've even talked about the game if they hadn't lied about it.

You know what would be really funny, if Capcom decides to re-release the first 3 on 360 with enhanced graphics, so that Xbox Fans will know the storyline better....That would be nasty......and I'd buy every last one of them.
