All of the games you mentioned were great. How about these?

      Jet Grind Radio
      Soul Calibur
      Test Drive Le Mans
      Vanishing Point
      Metropolis Street Racer
      Tokyo Xtreme Racer
      Sega Marine Fishing
      Crazy Taxi
      Daytona USA Online
The billiards game (can't remember the name)
Virtua Tennis (should have been called Virtua Crack)
      F1 World Grand Prix
      Quake III Arena
      Unreal Tournament
      Shenmue
      Ultimate Fighting Championship
      Samba de Amigo
      Test Drive V-Rally
      Ecco the Dolphin
      Demolition Racer: No Exit
      StarLancer

Lord, that system had just an incredible amount of good games. Such memories. I think it's time to go cry in my beer now.

      Take care,
      PK
Yeah PK those are all great games you mentioned and the ones I listed were just Sega 1st party games. Ecco was flat out awesome. Too bad so many bought into the PS2 hype and basically put the final nail in the Dreamcast coffin.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer is one of my all time favorites. Even though i've purchased them on the PS2 IMO they don't capture the magic of the first one.

Metropolis Street Racer was another innovative tiltle that showed up on the system. It now looks and plays a whole lot better on the 360, but again those Dreamcast games had a certain magic to them that you rarely find in games today unless you play a Nintendo IP game, like Pikmin or Animal Crossing.

Vanishing Point was crazy with it's 60 fps rush. It came at you faster than a James Brown Medley of Songs.

I have to add SF Rush to that list cause I spent hours me and my friends son playing stunt mode and deathmatch.

LeMans was awesome, I would run a race in the rain and just marvel at the replays, they out did the Gran Turismo replays IMO.

The best and prettiest Soul Calibur was on the Dreamcast, a perfect 10 from IGN when it was first released. Jet Set Radio was just insane for it's time, the only thing that hurt the game was the damn clock. I bought and still have Jet Set Radio Future.

In all one thing can be said for Sega and Nintendo THAT CANNOT be said about Sony or Microsoft. Both Sega and Nintendo used their machines and games to advance the industry in an innovative way. Something the other two just don't get. I'm ok with sequels if the game is good but at some point try something new. That's where the creative genes of Sega and Nintendo have the one up on the competition, though Sega is not the same company after the Dreamcast.

I'm looking forward to Nintendo's new system, and it if comes out at $199 it's a no brainer for me. The other thing Sega and Nintendo machines have over the competition is reliability. My Dreamcast and GameCube, N64 never gave me a bit of trouble. I can't say the same for the others.

Great point. My 8-bit NES and Dreamcast never even burped during my many years of ownership and use. Meanwhile, my PS2 got disc read errors at times, and my first Xbox died after just seven weeks.

        Take care,

Ditto. I have never had any issues with Nintendo hardware unless you want to count the "Blowing in the console and cartridge of the NES".
          Very sturdy systems.

pk, I agree with everything you've said about the 360 and the Dreamcast.

You know what? Today, I was wearing my orange Dreamcast shirt I got from the midnight release at Gamestop on 9/9/99! Doesn't fit as good as it used to 7 years ago. My wife got a kick out of it.
