i don't even play my 360 anymore...

...call me crazy but i've been getting back into playing PS2, of all things.

that system has some great games like metal gear solid 2, god of war, winning eleven 9, and mlb: the show. i also prefer the current gen ncaa to the 360 version.

GRAW held my attention for awhile but i'd rather play the aforementioned games right now. i also have FIFA World Cup for 360, but after i played WE9 again i realized (again) how crappy EA "footy" is.

oh well hopefully Madden and Test Drive: Unlimited can hold me over until Forza 2 comes out. otherwise i have a $600 (including games) doorstop on my hands...

There's no doubt that the intial crop of 360 games have been less than stellar. But things should start turning around this Fall. Gears of War, Call of Duty 3, F.E.A.R., Spilinter Cell Double Agent, etc. Plus a lot of great games down the road in Halo 3, Fable 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, and Mass Effect.

I'm starving too, but this Fall is going to be one of the best seasons in console gaming history (IMO). There's a lot of quality titles coming our way.

It's rather early still in the 360's life, but next month in August it will start to turnaround for the better. Just hang in there man, there are still some good games from launch that you should try which are cheap.

I just bought GUN for $35 and it is one fun game, worth the price tag.

Prey was another good one if you don't get motion sickness.

NCAA Football 07 is good for a first year effort.

Hitman & Tomb Raider are supposed to be good even though you can buy them on current gen.

Next month you have Madden07, Ninety Nine Nights, Dead Rising, & Saints Row.

September you have Test Drive: U, NHL07, Lego Star Wars II, Samurai Warriors 2, Godfather, NBA 2K7, NBA Live 07, Just Cause, & Splinter Cell

October has Gears of War, Tiger Woods, Crackdown, Marvel: UA, & Superman Returns

Speaking of upcoming titles, did anyone see the movie of the demonstration at E3 of the Wii launch title Red Steel? Holy f*ck, that game looks cool as hell!

I just watched that...Awesome.

I loved the part where he made the guys crouch to the floor by waving his gun (and controller) in a downward fashion.

There's a part of me that thinks the Wii will be a HUGE hit this next gen.

Metroid Prime 3 also looks cool.

Yeah, the graphics aren't as good in the Wii titles as the 360 or PS3, but Nintendo admits it's not trying to match those consoles for graphics.

But the gameplay looks fantastic, and the animation in Red Steel is f*cking SICK -- as good as I've seen in any video game. If the controller is that intuitive and the animation is that realistic, then the Wii will raise the proverbial bar for immersiveness in gaming much higher than the 360 or PS3, I think.

I rank immersiveness ahead of graphics, so the Wii is jazzing me, man.

One other thing: Check out this E3 video of professional percussionists playing a drum game on the Wii. Another addictive game that I could see myself playing for hours, as I've been a closet air drummer for about 30 years.

There's also a symphony mode in which you can conduct a symphony with little Mario-like players. Again, stupid on the surface, but just looks too fun to play!

Yeah the Wii is cool, it won't be my major gamer but it'll be fun playing baseball, golf and shooters using that controller. But too be honest, there are too many lazy gamers who don't want to wave their arms around for the majority of their gaming time.

No worries bro, the PS2 is still an awesome system. I love my 360, but man, I still haven't picked up 'Kingdom Hearts 2' (sitting on my shelf) and I'm also eagerly anticipating 'Final Fantasy XII' and 'Rogue Galaxy' this fall. Hell, it will probably occupy most of my gaming time this fall/winter when those games drop.

While the graphics are really ugly on my SXRD, the games are still fantastic.

I wouldn't stop playing my 360 with games likes Oblivion, GRAW, and Live Arcade I was hooked. Then NCAA came out and I assumed it would be all over.

Now I just bought a laptop for school (nothing serious) and I can't stop playing Sid Meier games and Warcraft III. I haven't turned my 360 on in a week because I'm playing 3-7 year old games. Unreal.
