Re: i don't even play my 360 anymore...
Any Sid Meier game will cause me to put down the controller. Let's see Civ2, Civ 3, Civ 4, Alpha Centauri, Sid Meier Pirates and the upcoming Sid Meier Railroad. Gaming Bliss !Originally posted by Xavier12I wouldn't stop playing my 360 with games likes Oblivion, GRAW, and Live Arcade I was hooked. Then NCAA came out and I assumed it would be all over.
Now I just bought a laptop for school (nothing serious) and I can't stop playing Sid Meier games and Warcraft III. I haven't turned my 360 on in a week because I'm playing 3-7 year old games. Unreal.

For older and hard to find PC games try these sites:Originally posted by Xavier12I hear ya pal. I never was really into any Sid Meier games until recently when I wanted to get Civ 4. Circuit City is selling Sid Meier's Pirates $8.96 Xbox Clearence Sale (this is the version I have).
My favorite Sid Meier game has to be Alpha Centauri, I love the voice acting in the game. You know how in Civ3 or Civ4 when you get a new technology you can research or read about it. Well in Alpha Centauri a voice actor would read you a verse or description on the new tech you aquired, it was very immersive.
To this day if I play the game I get that Star Trek feeling like i'm exploring a new planet for the first time. Sid Meier's games have always had a certain magic.
p.s. Alpha Centauri was developed and produced by Brain Reynolds who made Rise of Nations, but Alpha Centauri had the Sid Meier's gameplay aspects hands down. Infact if you played the first Rise of Nations Brian Reynolds used some of the Alpha Centauri, Civ aspects to that game.

I knew Reynolds did Alpha Centauri but I didn't know he did Rise of Nations. I may have to check that one out.Comment

Yeah, he started a new company called Big Huge Games. The first Rise of Nations is better gameplay wise than the second, although the latest has some very sweet graphics.Originally posted by Xavier12Thanks...That sure is a wealth of information.

Agreed, I am a huge fan of the Sid Meier games.Originally posted by RodsterAny Sid Meier game will cause me to put down the controller. Let's see Civ2, Civ 3, Civ 4, Alpha Centauri, Sid Meier Pirates and the upcoming Sid Meier Railroad. Gaming Bliss !
However that being said, between NCAA, Oblivion, Hitman, GRAW, Top Spin and Moto GP, all have kept my 360 quite busy.
With Forza 2, 99 nights, Madden, Test Drive, Splinter Cell, Gears of War, etc on the horizon, it stands to reason that I will be playing it a lot down the road.Comment

You won't believe my luck. I just went to the grocery store to pick up some things, stumbled upon a rack of used PC games and found The Conqueror's Collection which includes:Originally posted by RodsterYeah, he started a new company called Big Huge Games. Celtic Kings: Rage of War
Waterloo: Napoleon's Last Battle
Sid Meier's Civil War Collection
C&C Tiberian Sun
and finally Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri.
All for a $9.98 Canadian.
I probably would have paid $20 for Alpha Centauri alone. One of the best gaming deals I've stumbled upon.
I know a lot of people love Tiberian Sun but have you guys played any of the other titles? Are they worth playing?Comment

Great find dude, I forgot about Sid Meier's Civil War game an absolute classic, very immersive and challenging. You should have bought a lottery ticket as well.Originally posted by Xavier12You won't believe my luck. Yeah BK there's some really good stuff now and coming up on the 360. Forza2, GTR2, Enchanted Arms, Gears of War are all on my list.Originally posted by bkrich83Agreed, I am a huge fan of the Sid Meier games.

Well, I've been debating about buying a 360 and glad I haven't. Nothing I've seen yet has looked worth it. I'm still happy with the PS2! Perhaps by the time more amazing games are out, they'll drop the price.NOW PLAYING: Battlefield 3, MLB 12 The Show
WISHLIST: Hitman AbsolutionComment

Re: i don't even play my 360 anymore...
No matter what system or company you support it will be hard to deny that the 360 will have a GREAT selection of games by the end of the year. It'll be extremely tempting for those that are on the fence. Im sure the Wii will have some decent titles and the PS3 might eek out 1 or 2 good launch titles, but it's hard to deny that lineup Microsoft has from August to December isn't attention getting.Originally posted by gopadresWell, I've been debating about buying a 360 and glad I haven't. Re: i don't even play my 360 anymore...
So when things actually get rolling, how many games a month can we expect to come out? This 4 a month crap is getting on my nerves, especially since I don't have interest in a lot of them. Forza 2 and Dead Rising can't come soon enough..
