I think it only gets warm with it on, because it's blowing all the hot air out.

I'm just gonna leave it on. I had 2 lockups before I got it, and have absolutely no problems after getting it. To me, this is (for now) just an isolated incident.
I've had some issues with it off where I had 2 lockups since launch and some slow framerate issues in games that never had that type of problem.

I feel like if it gives you a piece of mind, put it back on. If you feel like it's not helping don't waste your time than.

I think that this thing does good, but on the flipside I also feel like it maybe doing some bad also.

Has anyone actually confirmed that heat problems cause all these problems with the Xboxs?

        Same here.

The air coming out of the back is never really that warm. Nor is the 360 itself.

I've heard so many crazy things that it could range from heat problems all the way to the DVD drives going bad.

I would like to know also.

Only thing now when I first start the 360, the intercooler fans make a noise that goes away after a few minutes.

I have the power supply sitting on the same level as the 360, so the power cord is seated fine.

One issue that I have always had with this product is that it plugs right into the power outlet of the 360, some power has to be lost I would think in the process.
Out of curiosity, in regards to the noise you say your intercooler makes, is it like a loud buzzing sound? Mine was working perfectly and then suddenly it has started to make a loud buzzing sound that seems to only go away if I manually turn the intercooler on and off a few times, its getting really old though having to mess with it everytime I turn the system on.

Yes, mine is making a loud buzzing noise everytime I turn on the system. I'm not too sure what it could be. Maybe I should buy one from Best Buy and put this old one in the box and return it.

Guys what could be causing that noise is the foam the intercoller has inside. It's sit's in between the top & bottom of the Intercooler.

I have taken the Intercooler Off & noticed the foam beginning to come-out of it's place almost everytime that noise happens.

I'm almost @ a point of re-arranging my shelves around & getting the Fan-Stand instead. Fan Stand owners comment please.. Thanxs

Ive thought about the fan stand but I cant bring myself to stand the system on end like that, doesnt seem very sturdy and with a cat in the house it makes it even more of a risk. I might just swap it with a new one from Walmart and return it, the buzzing sound is getting old quickly. Read up a little bit on the fan stand and it sounds worse, only one fan, tends to suck in dust and dirt and the more you play your system the worse the performance of the fan stand.

Yeah, I wrote an email to Nyko and we will see how far it goes, Im not holding my breath though. This thing is starting to give me more of a headache then its worth and considering I have an extended warranty on the system through Nov 22nd I believe, Im at the point where I will roll the dice and if something happens just return it with the warranty anyways. After hearing negative things in regards to power distribution, fan noise and overall performance I just get the feeling this product was made based on the paranoia of some consumers and their warm systems and its not exactly doing much of anything in the long run.

Just another follow up, even though Im not sure if anyone is reading this still or not, the foam was coming loose in my intercooler, after pushing it back down the intercooler has stopped making the loud buzzing sound, hopefully this doesnt become a weekly occurance with having to fix the foam every week, but for right now I am happy again.

It's the foam, I pushed it back in and the noise is gone.

Well I did the same thing and the first time after I did it the intercooler was quiet and I thought I had fixed it, of course that was until the next time I turned it on and it was back to the loud buzzing sound. I tried several times to get it to stop with no luck, long story short, thats the point I launched it across the house and moved forward without it, hopefully you have more luck using this method then I did.
