Time to trade in 360?

I got my 360 in Jan. and it's been working fine until lastnight. the system "froze" on the dashboard, I could not do anything, and then playing Madden 07 the game locked up. After I forced a 3 and out the game never came up of 4th down. The play clocked stopped the players ran off the field and the camera was still scanning the stadium and the music, "P/A announcer and crowd noise were still going. I do have the 1 year warranty at EB, should I trade my system now or should I try to hold out a little longer?

Are you going to exchange it for another 360 correct? If you would like, continue to play until the 360 won't work anymore.

yeah, I would just exchange for another one. And I tried to get codes from my system, but I dont not have or have EVER had ANY red lights on my system, so I am not sure if it would work or if I am just doing something wrong.

if you can, try and reformat the HD, that sounds like a HD issue..

Will Eb let you buy another Warranty? Will they give a "rebuilt" 360 or another new one? Would it be better to get one that has already been sent in? And what would be the best manufactured date to get, I asume the lastest is the way to go.

I traded mine in and kept my HD. They took the new of course. I paid for the new warrenty so now I good for another year. I had a lauch 360 that had the power issue.

I think the freezing in Madden may be an issue with the game, not the system. That happened to me too once in Madden, where the camera just pans the stadium forever. It's only happened once in about 20 games though.

My system was working perfectly until it auto updated NCAA Football and since I have had 1 freeze in NCAA, 1 in Madden and 2 in Saints Row, hopefully this isnt a sign of things to come, thankfully I got the extended warranty which covers me through November.

i had ps2 problems, so i'm paranoid as hell about it breaking, haven't connected it to the internet for that reason alone.

by the way, what is the NCAA auto update?

Sounds like a hard drive problem, meaning you might have corrupt files sitting on your hard drive. You might want to backup your game saves and try a reformat.
