Re: DS Game Recommendations
I saw Contra at Circuit City yesterday. Didn't pick it up though - I have no time with Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, and next week, Uncharted comes out. I am interested to hear what people say about Contra though as I loved the old NES Contras.Comment

Re: DS Game Recommendations
Found it tonight at the mall that I work at. Thank goodness my dad is sending Christmas money early. The game is fun, but hard as crap. If you love Contra for the NES, you'll love this. Plus, the NES versions of Contra and Super C are available as rewards. I've spent like 3 hours playing the game and haven't gotten past level 2. The game uses both screens for gameplay, instead of one screen for gameplay and another for maps. I really love this game even though it's the most difficult Contra I've played. If you're a hardcore 2D side scrolling Contra lover, you'll love this game.PSN:BrrbisBrrComment

Re: DS Game Recommendations
Anyone pickup Geometry Wars: Galaxies? Well I picked it up and while its damn fun and deeper than the 360 version by adding several 'missions', the controls are awkward as hell... at least at first. You move the ship with the d-pad and to shoot you use either the stylus, it has a laser that helps with the aim or you can use the abxy buttons in which each button corresponds to a different direction like.. x-up, a-right, b-down and y-left... pretty tough and you definitely need to take breaks because my hand has already cramped up.
I've only messed around on the 1st level which is pretty basic but supposedly there's a bunch more including unlockables and what not also.Comment

Is Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword worth a purchase or is it more of a rental?
Anyone play Final Fantasy IV? Would you recommend that over III?
Advance Wars: Days of Ruin is super; I like it more than Dual Strike.
Zelda is a lot of fun and the stylus controls work really well. CrossworDS is a nice pick-up-and-play title.Currently Playing:

Re: DS Game Recommendations
I'm really looking to downsize my game collection and only buy/keep games that offer a lot of replay value. This sounds like a totally-engrossing game.Currently Playing:

Re: DS Game Recommendations
Wow. I've only played FF I and attempted II but didn't like the battle system. Would IV be OK for someone who's not totally familar with FF games to jump in and play?

Re: DS Game Recommendations
Anyone know of any good, non turned-based RPGs? FF IV sounds really good, but I've never been a big fan of turned-based battles.
How is The World Ends With You?
I was hoping Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff would be out by now, but looks like we'll have to wait until Novemeber for that. I'm also very interested in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.Currently Playing:
