Team XBOX= 8

One reason why I like TeamXbox is that they go into great detail in their reviews, unlike some other sites.
The 720p support of Scarface: The World is Yours definitely smoothes things out which makes it look better than its competition. You’ll never confuse Scarface: The World is Yours with a good looking Xbox game such as Ninja Gaiden, but for its genre, Radical’s free-roamer isn’t too shabby. You’ll notice some nice lighting techniques, backgrounds that generally capture the flair and feel of Miami, and excellent character models. The Montana model- particularly the mo-cap work- is stellar, which truly aids Scarface: The World is Yours in hanging in there graphically. There are areas where the team looked like they may have run out of time, or couldn’t figure a way to stream all for this info without cutting a few corners (in Scarface: The World is Yours’s defense, there are no load times when popping into a building), but it’s nothing I can’t handle.
The Bottom Line
I hope gamers don’t judge Scarface: The World is Yours on what they may have seen or heard in the past, as this title has come a long way since Radical was pimping it two E3’s ago.
I’d recommend giving Scarface: The World is Yours a chance in its completed form. From the story, to the combat situations, to the amazing cast, you’ll be hard-pressed to find another title that does a movie license (an extremely heralded movie) so much justice.
Pats on the back all around for Radical, but I do have one question to ask: Exactly why isn’t this an Xbox 360 title again?
