3 RED FLASHING LIGHTS?

IT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? WHY WONT MY 360 WORK? I JUST GOT IN AUG WHEN MADDEN CAME OUT! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Get ready for a 2-3 week break from games, cause you are not going to be playing for a while like me!



However a baseball bat upside the console may make you feel much better.

Try unplugging everything, then reconnecting. If you still get the lights, it's dead.

What do you me dead Sully? Is it broke? I was playing NBA 2K7 for about 20 mins and JKidd passed and oop to RJ and he got fouled on the play (Zo) and then it froze. I turned it off and turned it back on and then thats when the red lights started blinking. I unplugged everything av cord, power, MC's and turned it back on and STILL nothing. What does all that mean? IT'S BROKE ISN'T IT? TELL ME IT AINT SO!

Yes, it's broke. The 3 red lights represent a hardware failure.

Yes by unconnecting everything then reconnecting you may get it to work. that was only a temporary fix for me though. You likely will have to send it in for repairs. Seems to be a common thing.

Am I asuming correctly that this has happened to A LOT of people? I wonder if PS3 will have these same issues. DAMN MS! I had a PS2 for 3 years and nothing ever happened to it. It froze I think once and that was it. Ive had my 360 for a month 1/2 and it broke already. Thats crap MS. Thanks for the help Sully. I wish you were wrong but, it doesnt appear that you are.

One thing to do, take it back to the store if you have an instore warranty.

Call 18004MyXbox and get a coffin sent to you, and be prepared to wait atleast 2 weeks.

Yep, Microsoft has this down to an exact science at this point.
Mine went dead in late August. Inlcuding 2 weekends and Labor Day, there was a 12 day turn-around for me from the day I shipped out the coffin to the day I received it back repaired.

Couple of quick questions for you (because I just got mine and I don't want the same thing to happen). You said that you got it in August, but what is the manufacture date on the console? Do you have an intercooler or the like with it?

I got mine last week and with the intercooler it gets no warmer than a PS2.

BTW, sorry for your loss. Did you get the warranty?
