Yeah screw this. I'll just play BF2 or AA if I'm in the mood. EA can kiss my butt on this one.

I was very interested in this game, but I think I'm gonna pass now. Not taking any chances when it's related to my personal information and privacy. Uninstalling a Windows XP security update? I don't think so. Like Jistic said, I'll just keep playing BF2. Shame on you EA.

How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl year after year. Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.

wow can EA get any worse IMO? lol

I really like Battlefield 2, it is a great game. The thing besides the spyware that bothers me is the futuristic turn they took. I don't know why, but I just don't like how it's all in the future. I prefer the present day or past-type war scenario rather than some future scenario that we don't even know exists.

Yep, I'm passing. I think EA is just out of control on some fronts and this may backfire. The PC crowd is a little more unforgiving than the console crowd.

Nice find. Funny that Sessler 1/2 way defends it. That should tell you something right there. The disclaimer in the game it funny. It says not to play the game on the internet if you're bothered by this......ummmm....hello, It's an internet game!

Also after it's opened, you can't return it, nobody takes opened PC games back. I hope EA gets killed on this.

That was a good vid, thanks man. Like others have stated though, it's basically a 50 dollar game mod in a new setting and one new mode of play. I love the BF series, but I don't think I'll be missing much by passing on this one. I'll keep playing BF2/BF2SF and wait for BF:Bad Company for the Xbox 360. What EA is doing may certainly be harmless, but I'd rather have peace of mind instead. But that's just me of course. To each his own.

Sessler is a tool! im wondering if the disclaimer is a possible lawsuit? any legal cats out there?

im sure many out there who preordered online via the EA downloader didnt know about the disclaimer since that was found only with the game when purchased and it sucks because there was no mention of this disclaimer online anywhere until after the fact!

i hope EA gets killed by this as well and give the BF series to another publisher.....

Apparently EA has yet to flip the switch for the in game ads. So far, all the billboards in the game are still blank or have fictional advertisments. The game itself is actually getting pretty good reviews as well. At least, that's what I've been reading, I don't own the game.
