For anybody interested in picking up the RE games, EB Games and Game Stop are packing three RE games and selling them for $40.

Bump. To change gears here, I need a GC controller and a memory card. I have a list of about 5 GC I want to test out initially and that list may grow a bit. As for the controller, I've seen the Wave Bird Wireles name been dropped several times, but I could use some impressions as to why its better than the other Nintendo GC controllers.

Won't I be able to download these games (eventually) for less than that though?

That Collector's Edition a few years ago was going for over $70-$80 on ebay. I best these games eventually make it to the Virtual Console.

Yes, before the 360 controller, it was the best wireless controller I had ever used. No idea if it's Wii-compatible though, because of the way it plugs in.

I love that disc, but I too beleive they will have them on virtual console. Either way, if they are on virtual console, you're looking at $40 for the games.

                      Re: GameCube Essentials

Buy Windwaker, Metroid Prime, and Super Smash Bros. Melee and thank us all later. All are top-notch games. As mentioned, the Zelda collector's pack is probably the best value available. The Wavebird is also a great investment. As for the rest of the games mentioned they're almost all worth buying as they're generally very good but not exactly classics.

Oddly, everyone here seemed to love Resident Evil 4 and Eternal Darkness but those games absolutely bored me to death. They did get amazing reviews though so maybe they're just not my thing.

Forget Burnout, F-zero GX is the best arcade racer of the generation.

According to IGN, it is compatible with the Wii.

Metal Gear Solid remake, Resident Evil 4, Viewtiful Joe, Super Smash Bros, and Eternal Darkness. All Zelda games are lame.
