Good post, Klocker. I still can't say that my anticipation for this game has grown any. I've always been a fan of tactical shooters, thus the reason I became bored with Halo 2 after a few weeks with it. I'm sure I'll pick GoW up for some mindless online mayhem.

I agree. I hate games where people can take a shotgun to the face and jump away.
Can anyone here confirm whether or not how realistic GoW will be in this regard? I'd rather play an online game where if I take a shot in the head I'm dead.

Also, the cover system in RB6:Vegas sounds a lot better.

Gears isn't trying to be realistic, but I have seen a screenshot where somebody's head exploded after getting shot in the face with a shotgun. :y4:

Gears and Rainbow Six are so, SO, different kinds of games. Gears can be desrcibed as an action-heavy Halo mixed with the tactical elements of Ghost Recon.

I've come full circle on GOW. I thought like Sully it was too overhyped. But after seeing all the latest media I think it's gonna kick butt. I'm waiting for reviews however, but I think I'll end up with it.

RB6 looks like a must own too, so at this point I'd say BOTH.

I also think FEAR looks awesome too. And being that I'm a dirty old man I want DOAX 2.

I actually think I'm passing on Choops this year. Games are just too much money now for me to be buying every one that comes out. I'm so into my NBA association that I'd get pulled away from it if I got choops as well.

Some of these games are just gonna have to wait and I'll get 'em cheaper down the line. I just don't have the time and money for all the ones I want.

I too am reasonably excited about GOW, although I'm not really sure how I am going to find the time for that and R6

I'm also taking a wait and see with College Hoops...I really like NBA 2k7 this season...they are really going to have to knock my socks off, since there is no way I have enough time to play 2 basketball games

Luckily I get a free copy of GoW so that took care of that and after seeing R6 live and in person, I must have that game. Of course I like all the Tom Clancy games but this R6 does indeed appear to have gone back to it's roots. I also like the more realistic type of shooters and that's why I never really got into Halo and will probably only play GoW in limited time.

As others have said, so many games this next few weeks, luckily I am either getting them as perks of the job or have already paid them off. Just traded in my backup original xbox to finsh paying off Fifa and R6 and already have Choops paid.

Yea the RB6 Demo sold me. I was dissapointed with GRAW. I like the action in RB6 and the story seems something out of a movie. Not much of a multiplayer anymore on FPS but from time to time I can become deadly when i focus and jump online with the semi pro crowds.

I think I had to be the only person that after E3 didnt care any bit about GOW anymore. Might of been the hype over it or just the fact that i dont see anything new to warrant my 59.99 + tax. I do like that they are bringing back boss fights though.

Anyone knows if there is online co-op for the story for more then 2 people on GOW?

Getting Both....I mean come on...Gears of War is going to be a beast...

and I've been playing R6 Demo and its freak'n great...

Definitely picking up both...Gears of War is a sleeper hit..and a keeper...

R6 is a classic...and a first of many more to come...I love Ubisoft and Tom Clancy games..
