Re: The Official Wii & PS3 Launch Discussion
I'm only working one day this week, and it's a Wednesday, so I won't have to deal with a lot of people wanting a PS3 or Wii.
Personally, I'm gonna wait a few months until I get a Wii, or I might just stick with my 360 only.Blind to this impending fate

Re: The Official Wii & PS3 Launch Discussion
The St Cloud Wal-Mart? Why so damn early? I didn't get to there until 5 pm on the launch of the 360 and I got one. Any idea of how many they are getting?Last edited by bergie56; 11-12-2006, 05:10 PM.Comment

Re: The Official Wii & PS3 Launch Discussion
So what is the deal with component cables for the Wii? Are they going to be available at release? I remember reading somewhwere that it could be an issue."You can not ensure success, but you can deserve it." - John Quincy Adams

Re: The Official Wii & PS3 Launch Discussion
maybe ive grown old but i can wait another year if I have to... im growning away from this affection towards materialistic goods and the "high" you get off of them by being the first in town to get a game or systemComment

Re: The Official Wii & PS3 Launch Discussion
Not getting a next-gen system until as early as next Christmas, but should I expect a price drop for the PS3 by then (or Christmas 2008)?
I'm just not ready for next-gen, since I just got an Xbox in 2004, and I still play my PS2 regularly as well. Not to mention, the first models are always the crappiest. When they come out with a good amount of reliable games, reliable models, and some nice hardware etc. (and when I get an HDTV), then I'll be looking at getting the PS3.
When's the launch date, anyway?Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: The Official Wii & PS3 Launch Discussion
I can't speak for everybody else, but I could care less about being the first to own anything, much less the Wii. The only reason why I'm interested in the Wii is because of Zelda and the new controller. Oh, and the virtual console. This is the first system I'm getting at launch and if I'm the first person to get it, that's cool, but its not a reason why I'm picking one up.
Blzer: PS3 launch is Nov. 17th. I doubt the PS3 will have a drop in price within 3 years of launch.
ESPNdeportes: Component cables will be available both online and in stores at Best Buy, Circuit City, and Game Stop.

Re: The Official Wii & PS3 Launch Discussion
We'll if you stay in line & come away empty handed over @ Best Buy.. You don't have to leave empty handed.....
According to a Best Buy's retail protocol for selling the PS3, customers who waited in line but didn’t get a PS3 will be offered a launch day deal of an Xbox 360 Premium System and two game titles, with a third title at no cost. The offer is said to be valid from Nov. 17 to Nov. 19.Comment
