Just for you Candy,

Re: IGN Wii Sports Review
I don't think "graphics whore" has anything to do with it. Especially since I just spent the last 30 minutes beating Knights of the Round when I have GOW laying next to it.
I simply think the models used were a poor choice and they don't look appealing to me whatsoever.
Everyone is entitled to opinions, positive or negative, but I think it could have gone in a totally different artistic direction and been more effective.Comment

Re: IGN Wii Sports Review
The point of Wii sports is too show off the gameplay elements that the Wiimote + Nanchuck bring to the table, nothing more nothing less.Comment

I totally understand that, but I just don't think that is a justification for picking those models when there are a million different/other routes to take. To each his own.Comment

Re: IGN Wii Sports Review
That's how I look at this as, its a free game full versions of playable "tech demos" showcasing the controller. You give something free to people and they complain on top of it. Imagine if this system didn't come with a game, people would be somewhat miffed.Comment

Re: IGN Wii Sports Review
I understand Nintendo's logic, as they want something the buyer can play right away and show friends. But so many of the Wii games just BEG for multiplayer play, yet the system only comes with one Wiimote-nunchuk set. So the Wii basically is a $310 system, not a $250 system, since an extra Wiimote-nunchuk set costs $60.
eBay will be flooded with Wii Sports within a month as people tire of it. In the long run, the customer would have been served much better with an extra set of controllers than a throwaway game. But Nintendo isn't stupid -- it knows that peripheral purchases equal profits and that Wii Sports will serve as a built-in tech demo for every Wii sold.
Take care,
