Xbox live update freezing my 360...

My system never really froze, but after downloading the new update early in the weekend its froze around 5 times in one weekend, and a few times today. Any ideas?

Yep, wait for another fix. It's doing it to most people, on new games, video's, anything.

Dude, I had the EXACT SAME problem. I had to get my xbox sent for repairs. I called Microsoft and asked about this, the guy on the phone said A LOT of people have been getting this problem, especially with systems dated 12-05-2005

Here is more info, apparently, it's a bug/virus in the coding for the fall update that affects a few consoles.

I have the same damn problem and now am waiting on my box to be sent to me from MS

I am wondering how quick the affects show up after you download the update. I am getting a new system soon with gift certificate for a system that just broke. I would have 30 days to return to the store for a new one so I might as well just download and play the hellout of it to see if it needs to be returned before having to go throught hte trouble of sending it MS.

Not long. Within a week maybe. My 360 didn't freeze up until the update and I've had a couple of games do it to me, one online and one offline.

Why programmers release this kind of crap is beyond me. Is there anyway to take it off?

It is funny ho the update was supposed to fix the freezing.

If I dind't have so many damn games I would probably use the gist card for a wii or something else.

You xould try and call them but I have heard that they are only fixing launch consoles whoch is some bs.

Nope, it's a hardware failure issue...I've already reformatted twice.

I down loaded like 3 updates in the last week, yes 3, there were 3 ocations It asked me to update I haven't had any issues.
