G.O.W. or C.O.D. 3 online (better?)...

i've got both ut haven't opened them yet. planning on keeping one. i REALLY enjoyed CoD2 online. is GOW as good or better than CoD3 online. what are the pros and cons for both games online...

Only 8 online, only one real game mode

COD3
24 online, feels like a war, multiple game modes and classes

No brainer, COD3 owns it online. But I keep playing Gears. I think just because it's fresh, but COD is the game we'll be playing online a month or 2 from now, Gears will be in the trade in bin.

I guess I'm in the minority..I love them BOTH online.

I actually LIKE the smaller 4 on 4 matchups in Gears because it's easier to implement tactics and strategies with a 4 man team, as opposed to 12 guys running around chaotically.

That being said..I also love the "free for alls" that COD3 provides.

All in all..don't be a cheapa$$...keep both of them in your library and enjoy both.

I personally would keep gears 4 on 4's enable you to implent strategity better cod3 seemed to chaotic. Playing gears online it gives me that certain wow factor that halo does expecpt this time it's a next gen wow factor.

I haven't played COD 3 yet, but after playing GOW on-line I have no need to. Nothing can come close to this game on-line. It's the best shooter I've ever played. And it's the most fun on-line experience that I've ever had.

Is lag a problem on COD3? Also, how "cheese-proof" is both games (ie. random spawn spots, weapon locations, etc.)?

I'm enjoying both games online. IMO COD3 is a very immersive game online. It really does a good job of simulating a war type experience. A room of 20 or more really boosts the realism factor. The addition of rideable vehicles has put this game over the top for me.

Right out of the box I felt that GOW was gonna be straight out carnage and no strategy. Boy was I wrong !!! My lone wolf days of trying to be the hero are pretty much over. It's very rare that I can take on more than one online opponent and survive especially if they are running in a pack.

For me both games offer a different online experience that are both fun and immersive. Two new forms of crack for me

lol! thx, fellas. i'm leaning towards keeping Gears and may re-buy CoD3 in a few weeks. i can afford both easily but i hate having 2 simular games and not being able to give my full attention to one and take in the full experience...

Only played COD3 online for a couple of hours due to the game's online problems. GOW is my favorite 360 game by far.
