Re: Virtua Fighter 5 (PS3)
I bought a PS3 yesterday, along with VF5. I'm a longtime fan of the series (even if I'm not very good at it).
First impression is that the install is over 5 minutes, and ended with error messages because there was no nave game data (because I had just installed it, duh). I don't want to have to find an install guide for a console game.
But, past that ... well, it's Virtua Fighter, but more. It's not a whole new experience, but that's OK - the game is solid. The graphics are excellent, the animations perfect, and the responsiveness is amazing. I hope that responsiveness translates to the 360 version, because I don't know I've ever felt something this crisp and responsive on the 360.
So far ... if you love VF, this is a no-brainer.5WG | Facebook | Twitter | fiftytwoplays

Re: Virtua Fighter 5 (PS3)
Welcome to the PS3 club, Mark.
I'm tempted by VF5, but early reviews have been critical of the somewhat tepid CPU fighter AI. Can you comment on your experience, since the game doesn't support online play and I'll be fighting entirely against the CPU?Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.

Re: Virtua Fighter 5 (PS3)
Yeah, that's my concern, as well. The game looks like fun, but without human-vs-human competition, there's not much incentive for me to get good at it.XBL: Mean Greene

I'm really not savvy enough about fighting game AI to evaluate that, sorry.5WG | Facebook | Twitter | fiftytwoplays

I was reading that Quest Mode is the same exactly as VF4:Evo, is that true?Comment
