They're still using the same chips as the launch units. Some of the kinks might be worked out, but it'll be July 2007 or so before the "new" Xbox 360's come out.

I think I'm leaning towards the EB deal with the replacement plan.
They're offering ghost recon. U think theres a chance i can have nba 2k7 instead?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the only store that has a warranty like that is GameStop/EB Games. Personally I have the GameStop warranty, and can return it anytime during the year to exchange it for a new one.

I got a 3 year warranty from Target for $29. It's their warranty for electronics that cost up to $500 I think.

Target has 2k7 bundles. I've also seen 2k bundles advertised on NBA.com.

Well if you win the bid on eBay at $355, by the time you add in shipping you're pushing $400. But if you have $100 in BB giftcards, use them. I believe they offer a 2 year warranty for $39-$49.

Yep, when I got mine, I got the 2 year BB warranty for $50 bucks... pretty good deal IMO.
