So I was one of the ones that picked up a launch 360 when it was released.
The system worked flawlessly for about 5 months before I got the red ring of death.
1 360 dead
This was before they gave free repairs and it was out of warranty.
Just by happen chance, I decided to buy a core 360 since it was really only a little over 2x the price to get the system, as opposed to just fixing the one I had. I figured Id get the other fixed sooner or later and have 2 360s JUST IN CASE.
So now I have 2 360s...
Fast forward a few months, 360s breaking left and right. MS extends the warranties and will fix my 360 for free....good deal. So I sent of my premium system to be fixed and had the core already to use at home.
I received another premium system back. It wasnt my old one because the serial number was different. So I plugged it in to make sure it worked, and it did.
Now I have 2 working 360s
I left the premium in the box, and only used my core. I moved to Orlando for an internship and decided to bring both 360s in case we had multiple TVs....
Within 2 weeks of being here, while watching We Were Soldiers....guess what happened....ring of death again....Called MS...repair set up...
Another 360 dead.
But no worries, I still have the premium that is in the box. I can play that one while I wait for the repair box to get here. No harm done right... I recieved the box to send my 2nd broken 360 in for repair. I just recieved my box 2 days ago and sent off my core 360 to be repaired, and got the premium out of its box to replace it with.
Put in Madden tonight....RED FU***** ring of death again !!!!
2 damn 360s broke on me within 3 days time!
They are not mistreated, they arent dropped, they arent in a dusty or non ventilated enviroment, they are in pristine condition sitting near the rest all my other game systems....that still work mind you....ranging from a damn Odyesse 2 to a Wii and PS3.
This is completely unacccpetable. Has there been any information wtf causes this? It cant be duplicated, its completely random, regardless of what anyone else says. Its not user error either, as we dont use the 360 that much anyways...so it cant be from staying on too long. Im calling MS tommorow and demanding a refund, I dont care about ever owning another 360 again.
I love the games it has, but now Im on my 3rd broken box, and they have now officially lost a customer. Ill be dumping 33 games soon, so Ill post them here and sell for a cheap price to recover my losses.
