IPTV sounds really cool, but is it really viable? Internet connection speeds are not fast enough yet to handle something such as this right now, right? It looks like something that could happen with the next generation of consoles, but I can't see it any time in the near future. I also don't think there is enough content available to make it worth the likely price for MS. It might be viable in cities such as San Francisco or Seattle, but not in rural areas of the US.

Early adopters of the 360 are going to be left out in the cold when it comes to the v. 2 360 and it's a shame. I just can't see buying another MS console unless they provide some kind of incentive like receiving a huge discount for trading in our current systems.

I also think that MS and the game developers need to concentrate on making good games for the 360 instead of developing new services for the system. It's a shame that they can provide high def video downloads but they can't make a good football or baseball game for the system. I think I speak for many early adopters when I say that we bought the console for the games, not the extra features. Give us some truly next gen sports games, soon.

What does MS have to do with the quality of games made by other companies?

Is it their fault EA released a bunch of crap games this year? Thinking that way I guess they should just sit on their behinds and not do anything to improve their product either.... that doesnt make any sense at all.

Oh, I don't know, MS makes games too. Maybe they could recommend to these companies that they push the envelop a little more since it doesn't reflect well on the console IMO.

He's right, Internet TV, that will be of good quality isn't viable in 90% of US homes.

There were many, many lackluster titles on the 360, by several companies, and it did make the system look bad. Everyone says the PS3 launch titles suck, so that hurts the system. Sony only made 3 of them.

Not so sure what everyone's not understanding about his complaint.

And which one of those were any good according to the average consumer, sites and what have you?? Has OS even graded NBA 07 yet?? I'm doing too much thread hopping. I freaking forgot what I was saying. Trying to be a devil's advocate.......

2 out of those 3 were busts. I was hoping that Genji would have stepped up. Oh well. Both companies, MS & Sony, can give ideas but I'm sure that it's mainly about money. I'll end on that note and just read the thread.

I remember. Sony had 3 games that they were supporting as first part and all three of them didn't do well. I'm just wondering if you guys think that their push for the technology was probably hindering the games from reaching their full potential? Genji was a decent game with great potential on the PS2. I had to get that game on the real to see how it played. It had a good concept was still a little rough around the edges. I hear that this second one was lacking. Could Sony have added more resources to the game instead of pushing for something else? What about NBA 07?? I saw how garbage that game was from a distance. Could they have added some more support or input into that game to make it at least on par with what they have on the PS2??

My question is how much will all this cost extra for the users who already own a premium 360? I was just thinking that this would be great for all those games I miss on television that I want to watch but don't have the equipment to watch it. Kind of like what I hear about this joint. Just hope that the extra hard drive isn't dramatically expensive to the point that I'm wishing I would have kept my money. By the way, won't this somehow slow down their servers??
