well thanks for your help and mgo's too

This is actually better than system link. I just read that if you system link it automatically makes split screen impossible. So if you do local system link coop it's either 4 consoles and 4 disks and 4tv's or nothing.

      Re: Left 4 Dead

I had another wonderful weekend with this game. The VS mode is EXCELLENT. People complaining about the Autoshotty, Smoker, Heli ramp, Closest camping, ect ect. Just is getting on my nerves.

The game is really balanced, there IS a few tweeks that could be made BUT very small ones.

I have darn near perfected the hunter wall pounce. I was bouncing from wall to wall in the hospital coming down the hall. Doing 20 to 25 damage a pounce. I know the survivors are having a fit when they see this thing bouncing off the walls (literally) then as I smash their buddy in the face knocking them down almost below 75 health in 1 attack.

Also had some huge pulls with the smoker for huge damage and chaos. Near the lift, pulling a trailing survivor off the roof down near the 18 wheeler trailers and making them back track to the lift and easy pickens for the hunters is a joy to watch. ALSO the smoker does great damage with its slash.

But my joy of the weekend was running into the room with all the pillars (the one right before the generator room) with a TANK and smashing all the pillars sending cement flying at the survivors. They all panic and just run in different directions. Knowing they are going "AHHGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" brings a tear to my eye

Ohhhh and pouncing with a hunter, but not landing on a survivor and then running and slashing them and then pouncing or running away has proved to be very effective in tight bunched up groups. The slash does good damage and I can normally get in two or 3 slashes with quick hit and run tatics and really do some good damage. More than a pounce would do with how close the other survivors were.

Yeah some of those dudes in the L4D forums are ridiculous with the complaints.

Nice post dude. Never considered doing that with the Hunter. Gotta try that out.

It is kinda like that. You jump towards a wal, as soon as you make contact spin to where you want to jump next and pounce again. It is a very fast transition but it can really cause some major problems for the survivors. In big open spaces I will jump down and start leaping off walls doing almost like circles around the survivors, they end up wasting tons of ammo.

Also yea slashing with a hunter can be much more effective than a pounce at times. The pounce can do up to 25 damage for the pounce damage and then 5 damage per slash while on top. The stand slash (secondary attack) does 10 damage per slash.

So instead of jumping on a survivor right next to another one. Run in unseen and unheard slash one and pounce or run away. You can normally get in two to 3 of these hit-n-run strikes. 3 of those would be 30 damage gone.

Now on survivors that are alone the pounce in a much faster option to down one.

              NEW MAPS (Coming soon)
Ever wondered what would happen if you got stuck in a researchstation on the bottom of the ocean during a zombie apocalypse? Manny_Lectro certainly did, and he's bringing it to life as a map for L4D! He has shown us some of the map already while he's working on it, and I must say, I'm impressed. One thing's for sure, I hope VALVe releases their SDK soon, so Manny can finish his map! But, to keep everybody busy in the meanwhile, here are some screenshots

A grim looking indoor map, you find yourself trapped near an abandoned warehouse, read as: Zombie infested, and you have to find your way in. As expected, the zombies aren't to far off (I wouldn't want it any other way). this map is still a WIP, so we can only show you some footage of the map in it's current state

This game is amazing. I already beat all 4 movies today and I can't remember the last time I had this much fun playing a game.

I've barely touched any of the other games I got for Christmas because I've been playing this all day.

I got the game yesterday - really want to play it co-op instead of by myself, so let me know if anyone's around. 360 version.

This is incorrect, I have successfully setup a system link game with 2 xboxes and 2 discs, We had two people on each Xbox.

Don't know where you got your info but it is incorrect.

The setup was a little goofy, you had to use xbox live match with friends, from there you can edit the game setting to system link.

Good game tonight Truth...we kinda got killed often, but it was fun playing all the way through on versus. The nice thing about regular campaign with a good group is that you can get more mic chat going. It's tough when you know some don't care or won't work with a team strategy. Either way it's fun though, and I really enjoy being the Infected. I'd let this game fall to the wayside a bit, I've got to pop it in more!

this game is the most fun I've ever had with a co-op game. I'm ashamed that I waited so long to get it.

I was on all this weekend (PC).

I had a round in VS where I started out as a smoker. I NEVER died and finished with a 4,000 point total. It was the best job I ever did with a smoker. Right when they thought they would get away, I would nab one and pull him back in the open then our hunters would tear up the others coming to save him. By the time it took to get the guy up and get everyone ready to move again, my bar would be filled back up and I would do it all over to them. Kept them in the same spot over and over about 4 to 5 times.

For a smoker it was a hell of a round.

Oh and I got into it with this little punk. He demanded I use the auto shotty and would not leave the safe room until I grabbed it. So after cursing him out and basiclly saying I paid for the game I can use what ever I want. I left the safe room alone (the others stayed with him). Needless to say it was not long before a hunter caught me, I went down swinging on a few but finially was over taken. I have never wanted to beat a little kid so bad in my life. Then when I was down he ran right past me and never picked me up. So I called him a spoiled little brat who did not get his way.

Reason I bring that up, that was one of the ONLY bad experiences I have had so far with the game.
