due to my limited finance, im down to these two games to buy...Gears of War or Rainbow 6 vegas? which do you guys prefer over the other? someone please help me out.

I think it would depend on whether you play online or not. I've heard Gears single player mode is short...something llike 8-10 hours. Vegas has more to offer for a single player game. Both are great games though.

I love RB6... never played Gears, but for my money nothing beats RB6 multiplayer.

do you play online at all? to me, I am "addicted" to R6's multiplayer. The AI in single player is very, very good. the Cover system in R6 is better IMO than in GoW, because I find myself getting stuck on walls alot. Both are pretty good, & still have both (especially since GoW just released some free maps), but I have had a great time with r6.

no, i don't have broadband as of now, so im stuck with single player campaigns and multiplayer action w/friends, so it sounds like r6vegas is the better game?

If you don't have xbox live or plan on finishing the game on all difficulty levels rent GOW because if you put in a serious session you could beat the single player in a day or over a weekend. Both games are great though, you'll have a good time with either game.

I'm a RB6 Vegas junkie !!! Have GOW and would honestly say that Gears of War looks better graphically but RB6 has better (Harvardesque) AI and the multiplayer experience is second to none.

lol i think i'll jump on the rb6v wagon and buy that over GOW

i heard the cover system for rb6v is identical, if not, better than GOW as well and the multiplayer is whole lot better, rainbox 6: vegas it is =D

Totally agree. I've played both and prefer R6 over Gears.
