Any recommendations for a good xbox game?

A really good RPG would be Star Wars :Kinghts Of The Old Republic...And KOTOR II..although KOTOR 2 was missing things cause it was pushed for a Holiday Release, Its still a good game...I liked Jade Empire, but Never really felt challenged in that game..Seemed too easy even on the hardest difficulty...If your thinkin about Fable, Pick up Fable:The Lost Chapters...Its nothing more than the originial wit a cpl more places/missions to go through

I went crazy last night and ordered Fable: the Lost Chapters, Halo 2, KOTOR 2, Jade Empire, Ninja Gaiden Black. Now I've got find some free time.

The whole Splinter Cell series. I'd get the last one, Chaos Theory. It allows you to use less stealth tactics if you want to.

I'd say Chaos Theory is one of the best looking Xbox games made. It actually looks better than some 360 games.

The same with Ninja Gaiden.

Does anyone have further recommendations on good original Xbox games and, in particular, good original Xbox Live games? I'm pretty late to the Live party, but I've been toying with the idea of picking up Battlefield 2: MC, CoD 3, Forza and perhaps a NASCAR game. How are any and all of these for the old Xbox?

if you like racing games, i would recommend Forza. It's the best console racing game of all time imo (much better than Gran Turismo)

I don't think Forza is backwards compatible.

But you should definately look at both Halo 1 and Halo 2. Halo 1 has a great singleplayer and Halo 2 is my favorite multi-player game of all time.

Yeah, I did have a PS2 so I played the Splinter Cell games but I did order Ninja Gaiden. Just looking for the XBOX games that didn't come out on PS2...thanks

agreed. they are STILL a lot of fun online. those two games are a must for any xbox or xbox 360 owner.

Another question...do you get achievement points in the XBOX games like you do for the 360 game or is that something new they did?

absolutely man. Halo 1 is a must buy imo. it doesnt have multiplayer but the story and gameplay are top notch. even now that the graphics are somewhat outdated, it is a really fun game. Ive played the story through about 3 times. imo, it's the best FPS ever. actually, i would recommend playing through Halo 1 before you play through the story in Halo 2.

and you should be able to find it pretty cheap. i imagine most EB games will have used copys of Halo 1

no. that's just for 360 games.

and The hub, or whatever the button in the middle of the controller is called, doesnt work for regular xbox games.

cool..I guess I'll order Halo 1 too. I'm gonna have quite a collection now. Sure glad I got a divorce a year ago or I wouldn't have the time.

Halo 1 is the better game, but you shuold play it before you play Halo 2. Halo 1 has a better single player and the multiplayer is better too, but it isn't on Xbox Live. If you play Halo 2 you will find the slowed down pace of Halo 1 difficult to get used to, at least that has been my experience. If you want a good single player, start with Halo 1, if you want online play, don't bother with Halo 1 and dive straight into Halo 2.

Huh, I figured Halo 2 would have been better. But I'm sure they are both great games and I guess I will play Halo 1 first...thanks

I thought Halo 1 was the better single player experience as well, 2 was good but 1 was better imo.

I've never played an xbox game on the 360 and was wondering how the online portion worked. Is it just like regular 360 games?

I needed a bit of a RPG fix and i'd already played Oblivion to death when it came out so i just ordered Fable online for a bargain. I've never played it before so i'm interested to see how it plays.

Might have to explore some of the better xbox 1 titles seeing as there is nothing earth shattering coming out on the 360 at the moment.
