It seemed that there weren't that many players in any of the games I played... I maps were too massive. Maybe most players were idle or something, there was no sign of this so called chaos game, but I'll reserve my final verdict until later.

Yeah, I found one yesterday. IT was pretty lagged-filled though. I'm hoping it was just that room. I'll look for some more before I make a final decision about those bigger rooms.

I tried to join about 5 games last night via quick match and couldn't join 1. I got 4 'game no longer available' error and then got the loading screen to join a match for roughly 30 minutes, nothing ever happened. Guess I'll try again tonight...

I gave up trying to find a game. I was always getting kicked or the screen would just freeze up. Im trading it in for MLB 2K8 or R6. It was fun while it lasted.

That seemed to be a big problem over the weekend. I get in my matches by doing the quick match now, haven't had too many issues.

I had a monster game yesterday morning though.

It's very hit or miss. It takes me quite a while to get into a game with at least 24 people in it (usually get error messages before it actually connects). 50 player games are hard to come by, and even worse once connected. From my early impressions, this game isn't turning out as good as I thought it would be. I'm going to give it a little more time before I decide whether to keep it or not.

don't give up too fast. The developer (Kaos studios) listens and is already working to improve online performance.

From the frontlineswar forums just today:

"Sorry you had a hard time finding a server rabbi shlomo - servers and multiplayer performance is the team's top priority. We worked through the weekend to to add more servers and even more are on the way - so try connecting again and let me know.
Also - we started rolling out optimized code on servers on Sunday which should take care of the "game session no longer available" message some people are seeing when they try to connect to a server with available lots."

I hope when they start adding maps, we get some from Desert Combat.

I'm not really liking too much about this game now, the aiming, the vehicle controls. and just about everything else is making me mad. I might rent this again at a later date just in case it improves, however I'm returning until I hear word it has gotten better.

                    Re: Frontlines: Fuel of War

I'm enjoying this game. The 50 person map is huge, tons of places to hide etc. I'm having no issues getting into games anymore. There is definitely some lag in the big games... missed some snipes that were dead on. Overall though it is very much like a souped up version of Battlefield with GRAW2 graphics.

Pros: Huge maps, Decent Graphics, 50 person battles, fun gadgets & vehicles, balanced teams & weapons

Cons: Lag online in big games, VOIP limited to 4 people on your squad not to everyone, OK single player but short

I'd give it an 8 and recommend it if you liked Battlefield and are looking for bigger spaces for battles than Halo & COD4

Last weeks one up show talked about this game and made it sound like alot of fun. BF2MC was one of my favorite games for the 360 for a long time. Want to get it, but these impressions are kinda scaring me. Maybe trade some oldies in for it?

Laettner, that probably is a good idea. I beat the single player last night and I think it took me only about 6 hours on normal diffulculty. the replay value is there for acheivement people because you get points for beating each level on normal or higher but there are also points given for beating each act regardless of diffulculty as well as for not dying in a act while beating it.

The Multiplayer does have potential because there are only 2 or 3 points to capture at a time so the battles are close together. The lag is bad at this point and I hope they patch it soon but I'm not holding my breathe. I think what makes this better that BFMC is the drone tech. Small groups of infantry can carry a big stick with the powerful weapons they can carry.

The drones are really cool. I was sniping last night laying down the lumber and with the audio I could hear one of those little drone bitches buzzing around me in the grass and all of a sudden boom, I was blown up. good stuff. Lots of other good bonuses while playing when you gear up too i.e. the Anti Vehicle guy gets a huge stationary grenade launcher after some kills that you can stick in the ground anywhere and start firing away.
I would agree that if you aren't into multiplayer this isn't worth a buy because of the short SP, although I would say it's about the same length as GRAW2. But if you like massive online battles once the lag gets fixed this game will be worth trading in some for IMO.

Definitely not as good as COD4 graphically. I would say it's very similar graphically to GRAW2 or COD3 for comparison. Still decent just not amazing COD4 or GOW.
