For the single player experience, it's decent, but the AI is just dumb. It basically plays like the online game, just offline if that makes sense.

Online is the main reason to own it though, 50 player matches are insane. Had a match earlier where we got pinned back to our last spawn, so there was 25 of us holding off an army of 25 in one tight spot, probably one of the cooler moments I've had on Live because it was just so chaotic.

The legs won't be there though, I don't see it holding up for a long time with games like COD4 (especially once new maps come), still Halo 3 somehow, and Vegas 2 coming.

I do really like multiplayer, but I was a HUGE fan of Team Kaos Desert Combat mod for BF1942. I put probably 100 hours into that title onlin.
With the AI being dumb, its just easy to walk through the SP I take. Does the AI use any strategy? Do they flank? Or is it just mindless run and gun with them?

No, but as you do better, things you can do in that game only improve. Like from air strikes to cluster bombs.

They do flank, and they do try to get you, but they will just stand there as well as you blast them full of holes. They do take cover as well.

It reminds me of Turok's enemy soldier AI the way that you have described it, which isn't a bad thing.

Online mode is simply awesome, but im disappointed that theres only one mode to play. The maps are really huge in this game, maybe too huge when playing with a little group...i dont see myself playing this in the long run, but the MP is one hell of a fun mode to play.

So this game has been out for a couple of days now. What is everyone's impressions of the game? Just curious. I bought the game and I have yet to see those 50 players battles. I ususally only see the 30 or 32 man battles. Just wondering if this game will be a keeper for some.

I played on a 50 player server last night. It was cool but there was a lot of lag, certainly more than on the 32 player servers. The game itself is cool and the tech in the game really enhances what would otherwise be a standard shooter. I have not even tried to fly a chopper or jet yet but I hear there hard to master. the shooting is ok but the lag hurt me a few times because I felt I was shooting a guy he just came up and meleed me. I fair score for the game would be 7.5 or so.

I hopped in there with you yesterday, but bailed due to lag...

How did you find a 50 player match? When I go to Custom Match and set up with features I'm looking for, the max players that I can look for is 32 players.

I'm thinking of buying this but I don't know if I want to yet. I'm deciding between this and Mass Effect, leaning this way because multiplayer is always rewarding.

Can anyone answer if you can bring guests on line with you on Xbox Live from one console?

No guests, just 1 person per 360.

I'm playing it on the 360, but I think the hit detection is horrid, the weapons are weird, and that maps are far too massive to have any real game going. I may be speaking too soon as not many might have the game, but for now I'm not liking it that much.

Hopefully I will change my mind, good thing I went out and rented it first.

the 50 player games are only available thru the quick match option. Mitch from Kaos studious said that on the fronlines forums today. he also said they would be adding more dedicated servers soon.
