I am very pumped for this game, actually. I love Civilization/Galactic Civ/Sim City so I'm thinking the end game is going to rock.Comment

Re: Spore
After reading all about EA's intrusive copy protection, and how they're treating honest paying customers and thieves and liars, I'm not going to be buying this game anymore.
Shame, because it looks like it could be a really fun game.
But I'm not going to be treated like a thief after paying $50+ for something. They could take a page from companies like Stardock who respect their customers and treat them well.
It's pathetic because the people who crack and pirate it don't have to worry about the protection. The work their way around it and it's no big deal. It's the person who slaps down their money who has to work around all the issues and call EA just to get their game working after 3 activations.
Once EA stops treating me like a petty thief then maybe I'll consider buying more of their games.Comment

Re: Spore
Not a big fan of what they are doing with that. Install limits? Really? So I can only install the games a couple times on my computer? Sometimes things go wrong and I need to reinstall things. And it seems like if I don't play Spore every ten days it won't work anymore and treat me like a pirate? If the computer isn't always connected to the internet you could be in trouble.
Not happy.Comment

If somethings goes wrong and you have to format, re-install, or change any hardware in your computer, then you'll have to use up an activation.
After 3... You have to start calling EA every single time you make any more changes.
EA's treating customers like thieves... That's why I'm not buying this game. Otherwise, I'd be downloading it from their site at this very moment. Instead, my money's staying in my bank account.
It's pathetic because it's the pirates and thieves who won't have to deal with the copyprotection. They just crack it and move on. It's the paying customers who have to deal with the crap.Comment
