From what I was reading, the demo graphics look amazing.

Isn't there a demo out for it? If so I might download it tonight and check it out. I currently have thisin my GameFly q. So it should ship out sometime this week.

Yeah, it's on PSN. It's huge, like 2 gigs, I've had it for a week, never once even fired it up. LOL

Ouch, I better start the download before I head out to my daughters soccer game.

This one is supposed to be good, but I'm working through R&C 1-3 before heading to this one. I haven't played GC or UYA, but played R&C 1 when it originally released. I was reading you would better understand the characters by playing the original 3, but not necessary to enjoy the new game.

                IGN Review

Whether you're new to R&C or someone who has played them all, Ratchet and Clank Future deserves to be in your library no matter what. Not only has it supplanted Going Commando as the best title in the franchise, it's also the best game of any series on the PlayStation 3 thus far -- and that's saying a lot when you're up against Oblivion, Ninja Gaiden, Warhawk and Insomniac's very own previous effort, Resistance: Fall of Man.

Congratulations Full Moon folks, you're two for two.

                10 Presentation
Insomniac has created its most intriguing and diverse universe yet. The story is strong and ends with closure and a cliffhanger (figure that one out), while load times rarely exist.

                9.5 Graphics
"Fantastic" is what comes to mind when describing the sights you'll see. A rock-solid framerate, crazy effects, a terrific art design and environmental activity galore. Prettiest thing on the system.

                8.5 Sound
The recurring V/O cast puts in another high-end (and hilarious) performance. The surround sound effects make the most of your receiver as well and the musical score fits well.

                9.5 Gameplay
Insomniac has the Ratchet and Clank formula down pat and the balance and progression of the shooting/ platforming/ space battles has be refined to award-winning levels. Fun, fun, fun!

                9.0 Lasting Appeal
You're looking at a good 12-15 hour quest the first time through, plus a challenge mode option, tons of upgradeable weapons, plenty of clandestine areas, secret skins, cheats, cinematics and more.

                9.4
                Outstanding OVERALL

I haven't either, from what I've seen it looks like a pretty fun platformer. I'm installing the latest PS3 update(haven't turned it on in ages) now. Then I'm going to download the demo.

What I've always liked about this series is there are about 15 to 20 planets you rocket too and fight off these comical goons in a platforming mode... thing that makes the series great is the sarcastic dialogue.... it's very well written and funny... plus the game doesn't take itself too seriously.... they're a wide range of over the top (unconventional) weapons the you have at your disposal....

The reason I've always liked it is b/c the planets cities are huge and maze like, the environments are quite beautiful... you're usually jumping or flying from futuristic skyscraper like building that you can fall off.....

To me the R&C games are not violent no blood... which I prefer... can wait tell tomorrow....

Download the demo guys on PSN, R&C is one of the best platformers that you will ever play. I always held Crash Bandicoot 1-3 in high standards for platformers, but R&C takes platforming to that next level. Under the hood, R&C borrows elements from many platformers before it, but it does a very good job implementing those concepts.

Plus, the backtracking to planets isn't as bad either compared to other games where you need to go back for items. That's why I recommend going back and trying out the first 3 titles, it gives you a sense about these characters and what their all about.

I was like that when I had Time Warner, since going to U-Verse, I got the demo in just under 20 minutes.

you get a FREE demo disc if you pre order the game... If the D/L is the same as the disc, you'll get a very good idea of what R&C is all about...
