This game is great. It's super polished. I'm like 4 hours in and like Uncharted the production values are off the charts. It's a very pretty game, and so far the story is interesting and quite humorous. Gameplay seems like it will be pretty varied throughout the game, which is nice. The weapons and gadgets are simply awesome, and it's not long before you have a bunch of them. I also really like the use of the Sixaxis.

I plan on picking this up soon.

I got it for Christmas out of all the games I got which is like 9 or something It's one of my fav one of the funnest games I have played so far.

I finally got around to trying out this demo last night. It seems like it would be a really enjoyable game. I just got my surround system hooked up and the sound is incredible in this game.

I got this for Christmas and am about halfway through the game. Holy crap, is it good! Seriously addicting and pretty as hell. My only complaint: The spaceship parts are more of a pain in the neck than fun, but other than that this game is stellar. A solid 9.0 IMO, and right up there with Drake's Fortune for PS3 GOTY. I am already itching for the next installment. If you have a PS3, this is a must-have.

I got it for Christmas too, been playing it here and there, love it. Great game, great graphics, and it's fun. My nieces were even laughing as I played it. (possibly because I was dying, not sure ).

I love this game as well. I got halfway through it on a rental and quit playing because I wanted it for Christmas. I got it now and I'm working on completing the game.

Yep, this game is stellar. Just a delight and entertaining game from start to finish, although I haven't completed it yet. I've enjoyed playing this and Unchartered more than any non-sports next gen game in a long long time.

I have a stupid question for anyone that can answer. I was under the impression that when they showed the two gears on screen grinding that meant it was saving the game, correct? So how is it that yesterday I started the game, played for a little bit, saw that icon 2-3 times and today when I fire up the game it is at the beginning again and I have to redo everything? The manual cleams this is how it works so Im clueless how or why it didnt work for me? I didnt turn it off in the middle of it saving, I was only on the first level but I absolutly hate doing the same thing over, if there is one pet peeve of mine that is it and it drives me nuts.

If anyone can point out something Im doing wrong or an option Im missing that would be great.

EDIT- I cant possibly be the only one here that sees this, it happened on the first level/world and it happened on the second one, what gives with this garbage save system? It seems like an enjoyable game but I dont see how everyone plays until they beat a world/level since it wont save correctly at any other point, this makes no sense.

The saving should be working correctly, but it may be different than what you're thinking. Unless you get to a certain checkpoint within the world/level (like where a cutscene takes place), the game will make you start from the "beginning" of the level. The game should still keep the progress on your weapons and experience regardless, but you'll find that you may not be starting from the geographical point that you left off in the level. Hope that helps.

Well I just finished the game and it was a pretty good game, I hate the save system but other then that I had a pretty good time playing it. I wasn't that impressed with the ending but I wont spoil that for anyone here. I was half tempted to go through it again in Challenge Mode but I dont have the time unfortunatly, good game though and will definently pick up the next one in this franchise.

The demo was really fun. I'm still playing Uncharted and with the Show coming out soon I'm not sure if I'll have time for this. When the price drops to $39.99 or less I'll probably pick it up. I thought the graphics were very impressive and since I've never played this series before it was pretty fresh for me.

I'm 70% done Uncharted (but its taken me 11 hours to get there). I don't know if I can finish it this weekend but by next week I should have it done some time.

There are barely any copies of Ratchet on e-bay either. The ones that are there are pricey. I've seen better deals for new copies around here.

I HATE I MEAN HATE the color pallete(green/purpleorangish everything) BUT the graphics combined with smooth gameplay and actually COOL weapon gameplay is just astounding. I NEVER liked the other Ratchet's but this ones a great game. Nintendo can't do this at all. nintendo would have a better color pallete though an i'm sure of that, but man this games been very interesting NOT boring always imaginative and always diff when going from planet to planet. i don't know about you guys but i wasn't giving this game any credit and now that i'm halfway in i can't say enough about it.

Why didn't you like the color palette? Doesn't it go with the game?
