Why didn't you like the color palette? Doesn't it go with the game?

the color is absolutely horrible. i come from an artistic background and education and it's very badly handled. the break between colors are not natural,but unnatarl. innsomniacs art director uses shadows to break differences in color.

example oranges don't fade naturally by becoming different "shades" of orange. RATHER they get "darker" by just adding in shade(dark shade0 meaning everything gets sudden;y covered in "black" tones. it has avery neon-like look to it that isn't visually appealing to me. one way to actually tell this is to look at mario gaxaxy and compare the colors in that to R&C:ToD. In galaxy the colors are rich and full of varraitions whears in R&C the colors tend to "stay" very much in one color pallete OR actually a "mix of a color pallete.

HOWEVER I am reallyy UNSURE as to wheterh they did this to make the game run better. i am unaware if the use of "less" colors makes for better running engines, whears the rending of things LIKE color can become a problem if TOO detailed or should I say vibrant and alive...

That's the look the series has always shot for. I don't think anything regarding the colors was done with respects to making sure the game ran smooth.

I thought the demo was really good looking. I liked the colour scheme there. When this game goes "classic" ie. cheap, I'll probably pick it up.

This game keeps getting better and betTER and beTTER and bETTER and BETTER!

The environaments almost ALWAYS change I mean theres pretty much been different planet after different planet...

I thought BioShock was last years GOTY. Man was i wrong. this game completely demolishes it. i like bio and all but this game is 1)fun 2)graphically probably the first time we're even seeing visuals like this and 3) smooth and more smooth.

WHAT a polished game ...EXCEPT for the color LOL

It's a great game, the best action adventure game I played last year for sure.

About how many hours is it? I'm thinking/hoping this game will have a price reduction by Black Friday.

And I'm hoping someday for a R&C with multiplayer or something. I think that would be cool.

You could beat it in a 5-day rental, so I'd say 12 hours max if you play straight through without any side quests. To prolong the game you can get all the skill points achievements and golden screws on each level, max out the levels on your weapons, and then after you beat the game, you play through it again in Challenge Mode which is harder and you can power up your weapons even more.

Production wise it is. So that means technically. Story wise LOL no it's not and that was BioShocks strongest point. It had a immersive world no one had really seen before. i never played ANY of the R&C's but this one's made me into a fan pretty much winning me over BECAUSE of it's production value which should not be written off.

I liked Bioshock but then again i loathe FPS. wasn't ever a fan of PC gaming stuff and console shooters can stay PC games as far as I'm concerned BUt BioShock had something "different" enough about that made it more than just some FPS.

R&C can't really be called an immersive experience but it is fun and in my opinion GOTY "quality". which is what production is all about.
So going from THAT mindset I gotta give it to R&C for being so good at at it

It's just a fun game... without worrying about all of the extra crap that people make metal blocks of, its just a fun game. One thing I don't get are the DDE's freezing and cloth glitches that appear in other games.
