GTA 09, with microtransactions for new outfits, weapons, etc.

GTA 10, with "updated" gang rosters!

You get the idea. EA would milk it for 3-4 years till everyone was sick of GTA, then buy out the next "big game" and do the same. Rinse. Repeat.

I don't care who else gets Take Two, just don't let EA get them...

I swear if 2K sports is bought and destroyed I am done with videogames. Games used to be a fun thing but now its about big corporations that do not care about the gamers. Keeping that stock up is all that matters. We gamers get the shaft.

I posted this before and i know it sounds crazy but it makes sense. If EA were to purchase VC they could possibly still release 2k Football and Madden. two NFL games by diffrent developers, EA gets ALLLLLL the profits so they shouldnt mind. that should be more profitable than the exclusive arena FB deal.

Damn I remember when you could just come online and read about all the different choices you had from all the sports , about who added this to their title. Now people are scared there will be no choice at all.

This could be a very very dark period for sports gamers.

As much as i've liked playing video games over the years i'm getting to the point of not liking the industry and the way it's going. If EA does buy 2k I will be done with my 360. It would be hard for the industry to recover once EA has monopolized every genre of the industry. As it is right now I hate FPS and thats the only option the industry has and is willing to offer.

I think i hear nintendo calling me back.

Here's a question..With the money EA put into the NFL license and College football...and Arena football, would it be beneficial for them to buy 2K sports?

When you think of EA's strategy, it's been to buy exclusives. Would they then say to themselves, "Gee, that was a waste"?

There's two sides to this: one POV is to look at them dumping exclusive licenses such as the Bond license and releasing a statement saying they want to create brand new IP's without any license attached.

The other side to look at is recent financial reports stating they have $1.2 billion(!) in CASH. That's not good. That means they are the front runner by default if MS is sincere in their statements of having no interest in TT if it becomes available.
