    Splinter Cell

This has been out for a while but I'd still reccomend it to anyone who is a fan of games like Metal Gear, Syphon Filter etc...
The controls take a bit of time to get used to but once you get the hang of them, the game is awesome.

Most certainly! Splinter Cell is a very nice game. The lighting effects are top notch.

            I didn't like it.

Certainly, if your into the Theif/MGS line of game it would be good.

Personally, I don't care for those games and Splinter Cell isn't so incredible good that everyone likes it, even if they don't like the genre in general.

I just hope the pics you posted NYJets were just beta or demo pics of the game in it's early stages. Otherwise, that hardware/graphics gap between the ps2 and the xbox will be even larger than I thought.

You base this solely on the reasoning that if you don't like it then everyone else who is not a fan of that genre will not like it?
In any case if you want a game that makes you think and has more to it than busting through doors and blasting away, then SC is a great pick up.

It seems like they were early. Here are some newer ones. They look pretty good:

Of course some opinions will vary. But in no way does the game transcend the genre. Very few games do.
