Bret Michaels Poisons Guitar Hero III
Poison frontman to appear as lead vocalist on two tracks.

UK, August 16, 2007 - Legendary rock front man Bret Michaels is set to appear in upcoming shred-fest Guitar Hero III and sings on two tracks, including Go That Far and Poison's glam metal classic Talk to me Dirty.

An animated replica of Michaels - who can also be seen on VH1's Rock of Love - appears on both songs. To get the recreation just right he took part in motion capture sessions to record his signature moves for the game and developer Neversoft used full body, facial and clothing scans.

"When Activision asked me to do this, I was honoured...are you kidding me? This game totally rocks!" said Michaels. "I gave them my signature moves, basically did my thing and they captured it. It was really cool."

He should have done this for the 80s edition after I heard Nothin' But A Good Time on there. Ugh!

              Re: Guitar Hero 3

August 14, 2007 - Today at the Edinburgh Interactive Festival Activision debuted a new song to be included in Guitar Hero III. "She Bangs the Drums," as made famous by The Stone Roses, was apparently performed before an audience at the event.

The second single from The Stone Roses debut album, "She Bangs the Drums" was the band's first top 40 UK hit in 1989. Activision is touting the song as more evidence that its GHIII track listing will span many eras and genres.

"The Edinburgh Interactive Festival is all about the culture of gaming," states Zach Fountain, General Manager, RedOctane Europe. "The Guitar Hero franchise has already established itself as part of mainstream pop culture, so it was a perfect place to unveil one of our UK-originated songs. The Guitar Hero road show moves from here to Leipzig, where we'll be announcing a whole new stack of European songs for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock."

The track list for GHIII so far:

                Re: Guitar Hero 3

Looks like a pretty good list. Somehow I'm looking forward to playing ZZ Top the most, seems like La Grange would be a fun song to play.

So that leaves about another 20 songs not named yet?

BTW for those waiting for me to get some of those videos for my custom Guitar Hero songs, the guy that's going to do the videos for me should hopefully be able to get them done and up on YouTube within the week. The list includes:

3 Doors Down - Here Without You
Alter Bridge - Open Your Eyes
                  Creed - One Last Breath
                  Default - Count On Me
                  Free - All Right Now
                  Jimmy Eat World - Work
                  Nickelback - Far Away
                  Q Public - New Shoes

(sorry for choosing only bands that nobody likes lol)

And I also made a Nothin' But A Good Time chart almost exact to the one seen on the 80s edition with the slightest of adjustments (probably not even noticeable to players that play both). I only hope that he ends up doing that one, because I can't stand to see yet another version not sung by Bret Michaels to be put up on YouTube.

Cum on Feel the Noize - Quiet Riot

Illest song ever. Much better than Slade's.

Yeah, hopefully they should be up in a few days, but no promises can be made.

Oh, and he said that he'll record Nothin' But A Good Time, but he won't put it up on YouTube for copyright reasons (which I completely understand). But he'll give me a Savefile version which I'll probably put on Photobucket for you guys.

Just finished making a custom version of Panama by Van Halen. I emailed the guy that's doing the videos for me; hopefully he can get it in on his burn that he's doing.

I wonder if Panama will be on GH 3.

Not yet. Do you have any special requests? I can't guarantee that I'll ever be able to make it (and if I do I don't know when I'll be able to get more videos up... unless I actually mod my PS2 someday), but at least there's hope if you request lol.
