Any tips for me? I'm trying to be as stealth as possible but I always get spotted.

I just gave it back to my pal whoi was letting me borrow it.

Loved the gameplay and the thought process behind it (like I do most Bethesda games) but the mood was so bleak and dismal I couldn't see myself doing much more.

Can anyone help me with this? I use VATS a lot, but how come it takes me 4-6 or sometimes more to kill something? Such as a dog, fireant, raider etc? If I shoot something 4 times in the head shouldnt it die? Or am I using the vats system wrong? I'm always low on ammo because it takes me so many shots to kill.

What's the condition of your weapon? If the bar is low or nonexistent it takes longer to kill things.

The gun I use the most is the 10mm and the bar is 50% full.

I don't know what the problem is then. Perhaps some more skill points into projectiles would help.

You definitely gotta give this game more than an hour to really give it a fair shot. It takes at leas a couple of hours to before the game really picks up. Then from that point on it gets better and better.

When I first bought the game I played it for about an hour and got interrupted and had to turn it off. Nothing really jumped out and wowed me in that first hour, and I didn't end up giving the game another chance for another week or two. The next time I played I ended up putting a solid three hours or so into it and really became immersed in it.

I never played this type of game before - I always played sports/driving game & Command & Conquer. The first hour wasn't impressive in the vault but once you are out and start exploring (and finishing a couple quests), you'll get more and more into it. I've searched almost every square inch of the map, got to level 20, and finished twice. I'm waiting on my XB to get fixed (again) and when I get it back, I plan on playing Broken Steel, then the Pitt to get extra XP. Then back into the wastes for a little more walkabout.

The thing that amazes me is the depth and the variety of this game, best summed up in three words "Best. Game. Ever." Hands Down.......Can't wait for the sequel......Keep playing, you will not be disappointed.

agreed I owned it for a week the first time not able to "get it" picked it up again recently and it just clicked... made me even go out and purchase Oblivion GOTY (which I also like) but this is hands down the best game I've ever played.

The first time I tried it I compared it to FPS and couldn't enjoy it, when I realized how cool VATS was and the graphics and the variety and the sneak attacks (I love small weapons and sneaking) and the searching I just fell in love with this friggin game

Broken Steel is sweer so far. Some cool new weapons and armor, and plus, it's great being able to continue past the end.

do you have to replay the last mission? I'm just curious about the transition. I beat the game, but since you can't continue, the last save spot is from before that point.
