it went exactly like that burke killed lucas...the kid does give you the key...hes just hanging out at the lucas house. though i didnt kill burke..he told me to watch my back and i let him run off lol

Yes really. Seems more like a 7.5 tops to me. Though as I said in another topic I don't like 7 out of the top 10 all time games according to gamerankings.com.

You probably need to open your mind a little more to certain games.

They are beter, Just harder to find ammo for them. Also if you dpnt like a set up, you can reset your points.

I now have the laser pistol and rifle and I don't like them... I actually prefer the hunting rifle over the laser rifle for some reason.... I think the hunting rifle and Combat shotgun are the weapons I use the most... The others have higher damage, but they seem like they do not do squat!

No I didn't think Oblivion was fun. It had no direction,similar problem here.
No this game doesn't have all that.

1. I'm not having much fun. (see #6)
2. Oblivion with guns.
3. Nope (this will also tie in when I get to #6)
4. Find your dad? Not much of a story.
5. Too drab,lifeless and empty for me. Own character is decent but the rest are coming off as anamatronic robots.
6. There's not enough ammo,wich has resulted in me chasing around the same raiders and super mutants with a board with a nail in it/baseball bat. I take their ammo and it runs out on the very next person/thing wich puts me right back to chasing them around with a board with a nail in it/baseball bat wich is not fun or variable.

Playtime is listed as 4 hours,40 minutes and 35 seconds.
That doesn't include the 2-3 hours I spent doing bad things and reloading to see what the outcome would be and if it would be favorable.

I'm crazy....I decided to pick this up today when I have way too many games.

Its still in the plastic and I dont know if I should open it...I wasnt a big fan of Oblivion and I'm debating whether or not to open it...tough decisions.

I have put 35 hours into this game since its release. I am a huge fan of the Stephen King "Dark Tower Series" and this game has that feel to me. I named my character Roland and am living the life of a gunslinger. I didn't play Oblivion because I am not a huge RPG fan (although I loved Mass Effect) but Fallout is really addicting and very fun and deep.

Hey....that's a GREAT correlation!
Anyway....finally venturing around the Wastelands a bit more...ran into a pretty big party of raiders. Thankfully, they were pretty spread out and I was able to handle them one/two at a time and stim back up in between. V.A.T.S. is great. Simply an excellent addition to the combat system. I'm glad they have it run out(it regenerates) once in a while, so you are forced to use the old style of combat.

I was up on the elevated highway outside Megaton. I ran into the raider party and continued higher up the broken roadway. I was out of stim and came up on three raiders. One had a flamethrower.....I just kept a raider between myself and the flamethrower guy and every once in a while he tried to hit me...but wound up killing his buddies with the flamethrower instead! I then was able to finish him off and pick up the spoils

Zekey....break the plastic. EXCELLENT game.

I am loving this game, but I find myself in a similar situation as some of you others. There are just too many great games out right now. This game is definitely a breath of fresh air for the RPG genre.
