They're doing it to make you pre-order games in the future. If they give the impression that pre-orders get games early, hopefully consumers will begin pre-ordering more. At least, that's their thought process....

Personally, after playing the game online so much in Beta form, I can hold off and get this at CC (they did say tomorrow) or even TRU. I'm busy playing the Simpsons and 2k8.

Once Assassin's Creed comes out, I'll probably stop playing CoD4 for a while anyway.

I'll check the CC near me when I run a couple errands later...

This sucks, but still doesn't make preordering worth it. I've been bit more often than not by pre-ordering and then Best Buy or some other store getting it sooner than Gamestop. It's been over a year since preordering made real sense (until now). Gamestop's 99% of the time won't drive to get it on Monday like they used to. I don't like giving them my money to gain interest on, sort of the principle of the matter.

If I pick this game up, I'm buying it at Circuit City. They are giving away COD3 with the purchase of COD4!

I don't understand why they do this unless they're getting some kind of commission. You should just ask them if you could preorder right there and get it.

Just picked up my copy sittin at work though. I'll probably head out early though and get some single player...I'm not so big on multiplayer, but I guess i should be, cause the single player campaign sounds short as hell

I'm seriously debating on using half of my TRU gift card on this game. I alreayd know that half is going towards Assassin's Creed. I'm just torn on FPS. I SUCK at them. I just got R6 Vegas and my god am I awful. I would expect the same on CoD4.

Yeah i was going to ask that, but i didn't feel like making two trips to the store. I not feeling all that great. If i have to wait till tomorrow than ok I'm off Tuesday and Wednesday so it's not that bad

That's how the GameCrazy was, they had at least 50 copies, and the guy told another customer that they had 20 pre-orders. Turn away business, not the best idea IMO.

thats why i will not buy anything from my gamestop, kids are punks...I go to walmart and get it at midnight....Screw gamestop!!!

My local EB and GameStop have some extra copies. I bought from LionGames.com and he said he won't have his to ship til mid-week. I might go buy it at GameStop, and return his when it comes in later this week. As long as I keep the reciept, I should be good right? I know it's wrong, but I really want to play some COD4.

Yeah, I might as well do it. I just fear that I'll get the game from LionGames, and it's got some sticker on it, or something. Anyway, I'm fixing to call the mall one last time to make sure, then I'll be picking it up.

I'm really wanting to play this tonight since tomorrow does me no good cause i gotta work all night tomorrow....anyone know if wal-marts are selling the game at midnight..i would call mine but if any of you actually knew how bass ackwards my little town was you'd know its just a waste of time
