The ending of the demo was better than the ending of most full games.

Guys, just wanted to send out an FYI...

Text WEAPON to 44144 from you phone, and you'll get a key for a unique weapon for use in the retail version.

Stinks that I won't know what it is until the game drops.. but my key is already waiting for use.

demo is cool...i just don't like the new control scheme. I'll check out alternatives later or just plain get used to them (which will take a while) crouch and stand with LB - wtf?

I didn't care much for the demo. I don't like the presentation - the movie title objectives in the game world. In the factory basement I shot 3 guards but nearby guards don't respond?
Graphics are just not as sharp as I remember for Splinter Cell.

Yeah, I would switch the controls to R-stick click for crouch/stand. LB for marking targets. RB for reload.

I only played a little of the demo on normal and I liked it. The pacing is much faster, so that takes some time to get used to, as well. I want to try it again on Realistic, as that should really ratchet up the tension.

I was let down by the AI too. This is a classic SC issue that I wish they would resolve.

There are times you are standing right in front of people and you get noticed but they scatter around like you aren't as close as you really are. I think Ubisoft feels the goal is to not be recognized so you might not see situations like that, but sometimes the enemy AI is just dumb.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

Hmmmm, not liking the sound of these impressions. I think maybe I need to break down and try the demo for myself. Might end up swapping my preorder to something else.

Oh my damn. I watched that gameplay with an ear to ear grin. Aside from a few choppy animations, it looked absolutely perfect.

I found the controls to be a bit off for me, not sure what it was. I was impressed with the beginning beating up that dude in the washroom.

I never had this issue...quite the opposite, at times it was almost like hitman where the level is designed for you to progress and pick off people along the way, but I was either pinned down by everyone, or flanked/overwhelmed and killed.

I really liked it, but I feel the pacing is sped up by what I described. Instead of seeing their buddy die and do a small patrol, they all have hard-on's! In other words I felt like you had to plan how to kill the majority of the enemies save for one or two and plough through as fast as you can so as not to get flanked.

I really don't like the auto kill where you mark targets.

Isn't it supposed to be easy? Military trained bad *** super spy that's already killed thousands of people is supposed to have trouble with common guards now after 4 or 5 games? I have to wait until thursday to try it.

Amazon is selling it for $51.99 right now and you can add the promo code of SPLINTER for another $5 off. (Doesn't appear to apply to Canada)

I loved it. Best one yet based on the demo. Didn't like having to hold LT to stay in cover but other than that it was great.

The pre-order mini briefcase is neat. Never seen a glowing coaster before. They didn't put any batteries in the head lamp though. Got an assault rifle instead of a shotgun.
