After reading some of your reviews, I am thinking of getting the game. Only problem is I HAVE to get a project done so I think I will be smart and wait till Im done before I buy it. Sounds like a great game to me and I had fun with the demo.

Re: Splinter Cell Conviction (360 & PC)
Apparently the freezing issues with the title update have been resolved.
UPDATE: A Ubisoft representative tells Kotaku that the game should now work fine: "The issue has been resolved, you should now be able to play without further problems. You can download the update now and be able to play the game without it freezing or needing to be unplugged from Xbox Live."Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Splinter Cell Conviction (360 & PC)
Yeah it has that Hitman like feel to it how you can manipulate the environment to set up booby traps and distractions to either kill the guard or distract them long enough for you can sneak pass them.
There is nothing like shooting out the lights of a place and hear a room full of guards say oh crap what happened here ? Fisher must be here and they start looking around in all directions looking like they about to crap themselves from fear.
Even more fun is all the ways you can take people out in this game, it is hilarious.Comment

Re: Splinter Cell Conviction (360 & PC)
Well, I don't know if it's the patch since it happens at random times, but I've run into a bunch of freezing issues...it's getting damn frustrating. I guess I'll give it a rest and see if Blockbuster has another copy I can try tomorrow, I guess. My brief time when the game worked was fun though...lol.Comment

Without a doubt. I do not regret purchasing this game at all.
My friend and I have spent the last...two hours playing the "Hunter" game-mode. Absolutely AMAZING. This may be one of my favorite co-op games ever, hands down.Comment

Re: Splinter Cell Conviction (360 & PC)
Don't forget to cash in any UPlay points left over from AC II.
Gamesradar review:
Is it better than…?
Batman: Arkham Asylum?
Oh, hell no.
Modern Warfare 2?
No. But then, why should it be? Let this be the last time we have to say this: Splinter Cell: Conviction is not a shooter.
Splinter Cell: Double Agent?
We think so, even if the internet has proclaimed Conviction's inferiority without having played it.
While co-op kicks an unholy amount of ***, the Fisher campaign wasn't the drastic departure from the series' punishing trial and error we were all expecting. Fans may mourn the loss of certain aspects, yet there's still a commendable evolution found within an experience much richer in player choice and consequences they shouldn't ignore. Outside of the occasional moments where the game starts ham fistedly projecting Fisher's emotions on the wall (FRUSTRATION!) the storytelling takes full advantage of the medium in a way that few games ever do.

You'll love
* Co-op unlike anything you've ever played
* Storytelling that's better than cinematic
* Mark and Execution moves
You'll hate
* Unrelenting difficulty
* Mortal mistakes mean lengthy restarts
* Not having a lot of patienceComment

Re: Splinter Cell Conviction (360 & PC)
I've just started the level where you can't be seen. A challenge, but I love it.
I've been gunning my way through the whole game. Next time I go through, I'll do my best to not kill when I don't have too.Comment

Re: Splinter Cell Conviction (360 & PC)
i've been playing hunter mode on one map for the last 4 hours. what an addicting game....
first of all, in deniable ops , the AI will not be at the same place when the level starts and will not take the same routes so this makes things fresh for a 2nd playthrough, for my case the 6th or 7th hehe. Hopefully the story is like this as well.
the single player is between 7-9 hours depending on how u play they say but the replay factor is huge with this game.
anyways, how do i unlock the infiltration deniable ops ? do i have to sign up for uplay with the email and psswd or should i just get points by playing the deniable ops/story?
any clue...
thanksComment
